The Carnival 🎪

After paying for their entry tickets, the two wandered through the crowd as a lot of people passed them. Cries could be heard as they were on rides. In the distance, there were parents and their children playing games for prizes. Loud booming music playing in the background of the latest music and of course the compelling aroma of the delicious foods from nearby food trucks.

"Alright baby what do you want to do? Get on some rides? Go play some games? It's all up to you." Dinah told her as she put her ticket into her pocket before straightening her jacket glancing over at Mani who was looking around biting on her bottom lip. "We can get on some rides," Normani said with a nod. She continued looking around when she points out the roller coaster. "Let's go ahead and get the roller coaster out of the way." Normani insisted. Dinah nods. "Sounds good to me." The two walked through the crowd as they walked towards the rollercoaster and got in line. "I hope my wig doesn't get snatched off." This woman said as she and her husband got in line behind Dinah & Mani. Her husband cracked up. "If it does then I'll try my best to rescue it." He said. The woman just smiled and held onto her husband. Dinah & Mani tried not to laugh but they couldn't and let out soft giggles.

Dinah glared at the same ride as the people on it were screaming their heads off as they were going incredibly fast. "I hope I don't vomit. Good thing we didn't eat before this ride." Dinah said placing her left palm on her stomach. Normani looks up at the ride too. "You right about that. Look at how fast it's going." Suddenly the ride came to an end and the people got off. Some were stumbling and others looked as if they were about to vomit. It was now their turn to get on. They held onto each other's hands as they got in their seats just like everyone else.

After everyone was seated and buckled in, the ride begins. Normani wrapped her right arm around Dinah's left and squeezed as the ride started off slow when it got to this hill. The two closed their eyes as it went down very quickly. They both cried out as it felt like their hearts were about to drop out of their bodies. Everyone else was shrieking as they were taking sharp turns and whatnot. Dinah felt like it was her time to go. As if God was about to take her because she couldn't even move or open her eyes. Normani kept her eyes shut tightly. "Lord, please! Let this ride be over with!"

He answered her prayers cause before they knew it the ride ended. They opened their eyes as the ride came to a halt. They both took deep breaths. "Thank goodness. It's over but damn I can't feel my legs." Dinah said. "Bitch I can't feel my body," Normani said causing Dinah to laugh. "Let's just be glad we got it over with." The two got up and got out as they headed out with the others- more people boarded on the ride. "May the Lord be with them," Normani said shaking her head. Dinah nods. "Can I get an amen?" Dinah asked. "Amen," Normani said. The two went on about their day. They played a variety of games. Dinah won Mani a teddy bear and Mani won Dinah one. They went and got something to eat at one of those high ass food trucks. Dinah got a burger and some fries with a large Pepsi while Mani got some chili cheese fries with a large sprite. They sat down at a picnic table and ate their food.

After eating they went on more rides. By this time, its nighttime. Around 8 o'clock. They were roaming around snuggling their teddy bears when Dinah saw a funhouse. "Babe let's go there," Dinah said pointing in the direction it was in. Normani turns and saw it. It was a huge funhouse but the entrance was a huge creepy clown face while you can hear clown laughs. Normani didn't like clowns at all. She stares at it and gulps. "U-uh...there?" Normani mumbled pointing at it. Her hands shaking. "Yeah! I mean it looks so creepy. I bet It'll be fun!" Dinah let out with a smile not even noticing her baby was terrified. Normani noticed how much Dinah wanted to do it so she said the unthinkable. "O-okay. I'm in." But she really wasn't. Dinah claps in excitement and leads them in that direction. As they kept getting closer the louder the laughs of the clown got louder to Mani.

They got there and went straight in considering there weren't many people inside. Normani immediately held onto dinah when they walked inside hearing a demonic voice speak as the two strolled further inside the building. They could hear screams from others ahead of them. As they walked down a hall they heard a woman "Help! Somebody help!" Normani was scared. Her grip on Dinah tightened. Dinah looks down at her baby who was scared. "Baby, you okay?" She asked when they walked closer towards the woman on Mani's side she saw something move from the side of her eye. She slowly turned her head and saw the woman who looked in distress when all of a sudden a clown walks inside and slaughters her and then looked directly at Mani with that creepy smile on his face as his head moves slowly to the side. Mani doesn't even hear Dinah repeat her question.

"Mani? Baby? You okay?" Dinah asked but Mani couldn't stop looking back at that room even if it was out of sight. She snaps out of her trance, her breath getting heavy. "N-no. Dinah I don't want to be in here." When a clown jumps out of nowhere. It caught them both off guard but particularly normani who said fuck this shit and ran off in fear. "Mani! Wait up!" Dinah shouted as she went to follow her. Mani was in so much fear when she kept getting jump scared left and right. She runs so fast that she collapses on the floor and she was in a mirror room. Dinah lost her. "Shit!" She let out and called out for her. "MANI!"

Mani was on the floor as tears fell down her cheek. Holding herself as she closed her eyes. The music they had playing in there didn't help. When she heard a sound. She looked up looking around. When she saw a tall man standing there in a clown costume with his back facing her. "Hello?" Mani called out in a shaky voice but he said nothing. He just stood there. 

A replica of Pennywise began doing his clown dance and his eyes were staring directly at her as he smiled that uneasy smile. Normani stared as he kept dancing when he came to a halt, his smile vanished as well. He just stood there. Watching her. Normani was frozen meanwhile Dinah was heading that way hoping to find her. "I should have never brought her in here. How could I be so stupid?" When a person jumped out trying to scare her but Dinah pushed them away. "I'm not in the mood bitch!" As she kept walking. When Pennywise started to walk towards her. Mani watched with teary eyes. She couldn't scream. If she tried nothing would come out. She couldn't move. She was in pure shock. When he got closer it felt like he was really in front of her. He opened his mouth and said, "Do you want a gallon, little girl?" He asked when a red balloon appeared. Dinah finally got to her and saw Mani on the floor in fear looking at nothing. It was her imaginary playing around with her. "Mani?" Dinah called out to her. Mani looked over at Dinah. "Can you see h-him?" She asked. Dinah couldn't see anyone but themselves in a room full of mirrors. "No, I don't. Baby let's get you out of here." Dinah said walking closer to her. Normani looks back in front of her and he was gone. It was just her and dinah. Dinah helped her up as they headed out of there when Normani glanced behind them and saw a clown standing there with a red balloon in front of his face. He lifts the balloon up and it was him. His huge smile on his face again. "Where are you going Normani?" He asked in his raspy voice. It echoed in her head as she kept looking back.

Ever since the trauma Normani faced, Dinah never took her to the funhouse again and made sure to never watch anything with a clown in it knowing how it messes with her.
