A Sweeter Place

It was a Monday morning. Normani rested there in her bed on dinah's chest. Her arm across her chest. She could feel dinah's chest moving up and down due to her breathing. She glanced up to see dinah was still sound asleep. That brought a smile to normani's face as she scoots up in the bed a bit to place a soft kiss on dinah's cheek. She massaged her cheekbone as she acknowledged dinah until her brown eyes looked up at normani. "Good morning baby," Normani spoke up softly. Dinah didn't say anything just gawked at her and then pointed at her lips. Normani leaned down and gave her a peck on the lips. She leaned back up and saw a smile on dinah's face. "Morning. How did you sleep?" Dinah asked sitting up in bed running her hand through her hair. "Pretty good actually. I had a weird dream." Normani chuckled softly. "Everything was just so creepy but very interesting." Normani went on. Dinah smiled looking at the beautiful young lady beside her. "Tell me all about it over breakfast," Dinah said getting out of bed. She stretched before strolling over to mani's side to pick her up bridal style before heading out of the bedroom. "You know, If God lets us get to further than we are, I will be holding you just like this...but down an aisle," Dinah confessed. Normani glanced at dinah. "And hopefully we do get to that point...you're the only person I see myself with...ever since we met," Normani announced with a grin. Dinah smiled as she roamed out of the bedroom, down the hallway, and down the staircase.

"Only time will tell. Anyway, what are you thinking about for breakfast?" Dinah asked stepping off the last step and wandered through the living room heading straight into the kitchen before placing normani down. "Pancakes, bacon, eggs, and toast!" Normani indicated with a large grin. Dinah nods. "Alright. Now about that dream of yours." She mentions grabbing out the pans while normani turned the stove on before getting out the eggs and bacon out of the refrigerator. She placed the two things onto the marble countertop. Dinah places the pans onto the stove, before getting the new box of pancake mix out the cabinet. "Okay so it was the zombie apocalypse, right? It was me, you, and other people. You were acting like you were the leader of us all. Telling us what to do but not going to lie, we did make it with your help." Normani admitted. Dinah snickered. "Seeeee! No wonder why I took the lead role. I got what it takes!" Dinah playfully says with a superhero stance. Before smiling grabbing the eggs and bacon normani got out proceeding to make the first two breakfast items. Normani giggled rolling her eyes. "Yeah yeah yeah-- but that's not all. It went from that to another dream and this is where it got creepy. So now I was roaming down the street when ground beef started falling from the sky. I was confused about how that was possible. Everyone noticed that this wasn't regular rain and came outside of their homes, out of the store, basically everywhere they were to inspect it for themselves. It just kept raining ground beef until something was hovering over us. GUESS WHAT IT WAS!?" Normani asked getting the pancake mix together. "Let me guess, An enormous Taco," Dinah said looking over at normani who jaw dropped. "How did you-- Yes! It was an enormous taco!! With shimmering eyes! It then started shooting lasers out of its eyes. Everyone started crying out and running. Meanwhile, for some reason, I was shrieking at it saying 'HEY! STOP LITTERING!'" Normani said as she started cracking up. Dinah just giggled shaking her head. "Wow, mani. That was the only thing you were worried about? A taco that has lasers for eyes is attacking humanity and you're worried about the taco dropping ground beef onto the ground?" Dinah asked with a smile. Normani got the pancake mix together. Dinah just got done with making the eggs and bacon. "I mean, I don't know why that was more important but here's the thing. It tried shooting at me but I dodged it- like a bad bitch and went completely off on the taco. I think after screaming at it, Mr. Taco got upset because of how he lowered his invisible eyebrows. He knew then, he messed with the wrong one." Normani fooled around.

Dinah shakes her head. "Yeah, your dream was incredibly weird but interesting," Dinah confessed. Normani nods in agreement. "I know right! It's insane." Normani washed a pan off and then used it to make the pancakes. "Hey, I've been thinking about something for a while. How about we take a vacation. Maybe on an Island...you know somewhere we can just relax. Worry about nothing but ourselves...create memories." Dinah suggested. Normani grins. "I would totally love that. We should definitely do it." Normani reassures. "Great because we leave in a week," Dinah announced. Normani gasps. "Really!?" Normani asked looking at dinah with her brown eyes filled with glee. "Yes sweetheart," Dinah said kissing her cheek. Normani was excited. They finished up with breakfast. Dinah made the toast after putting the eggs and bacon on a plate. They sat at the dining room table and ate as they discussed the upcoming trip they were going on in a week. Normani was thrilled.
