Prologue: 0°-180°

"Luna, Luna, nood tayo ng play na irerelease ng College of Liberal Arts," pagkukulit sa akin ni Carmela, I don't think I wanna go. Liberal Arts is so pointless, how does it contribute to the grand scheme of the universe? Well, I don't even know.

Madame Mortis? That's the name of the play? It feels like a Madame Butterfly ripoff. I don't even want to remember why I know Madame Butterfly. Shame, Arts and Literature just hinders my progress as a Physicist, entertainment hinders all progress, pathetic. Science should be prioritized, especially in this country, we're really falling behind.

"Carm, I'm not sure if I want to," I said, but I am well aware of her stubbornness, it seems like all my efforts will be moot, she can really be prideful sometimes.

"Look, Luna, your colleagues are tracking down your citations, I think you have the free time naman, we still have a few weeks before the final defense, kakayanin mo naman siguro magrelax ngayon, 'no?"

Little did she know that I am already working on my newest paper, I am working on a theory that may pave a way for a methodology to open in order to trap Bose-Einstein Condensates, but that seems to be on the verge of impossibility as there are numerous theories out there that focuses on properties of these condensates such as a paper led by YJ Lin in 2011, but trapping those molecules is still a scientific debate, I am merely thinking of a proposed method. The tediousness of my train of thought leaves me no room for entertainment or leisure, but just this once, I will try to tag along. Medyo may kahirapan kasi once Carmela cranks her stubbornness to eleven.

"Fine, sige, let's go, Carmela."

The theatre is not far away from where we were so we simply arrived there in a short period of time. The sheer cold of La Sommet Université's theatre is astounding, it makes me wonder if the chills the air conditioning provide does not hinder the leisure of the audience due to the body recessing from a normal resting point due to stimulus, but I won't think about it too much.

The overture played and the frequency seems like the musical piece was in a minor key, hmm, the sound is simply sad, it symbolizes and sets the tone for the play to come. This is simply astounding, should I immerse myself this one time??

Prologue: Act after the Intermission

I spent months writing the dialogue and plot of this play, sana magsucceed. Does the tragedy of Madame Mortis match the message I am portraying? I don't know, hindi ko alam kung ano ba, kung magsa-succeeed.

"Lums, okay ka lang ba? Parang kinakabahan ka, ha," mahinahon na sabi ni Liyanna.

"Li, I'm not sure, baka hindi enough ang story ko to peak the attention of the audience, what if all of my efforts are just moot," I said with my voice shaking.

"Lums, the professor said that your story is great, and the musical score given to you matched your story, he was genuinely impressed by your work," she said, reassuring me.

"Two minutes before the overture, get into position," the runner said.

I went on to my post, observing the play from the audience's point of view to see if Madame Mortis will be given justice, though napanood ko na lahat ng rehearsals, the real deal is still different.

The audience seems to be enjoying the play, but who is that? Do my eyes deceive me?
