A cat sees your movements in the dark
Through the blackness, through the cold
No slither nor walk can escape its gaze
So we hope that we can all just see

How I wish that everything just wasn't a bore, especially academics. Despite my love for science, the challenges that I face right now aren't really that exciting. Today is the Intercollege Quiz Bee and I can say that LSU is prepared. The event will be held on the conference room. The review and preemptive preparations before this was quite alright if I can say it.

"Onomatopoeia not Onomatopiea"

"How was that word supposed to be spelled?"

"3.14159"

These types of technicalities are what we kinda focused on, but I can confidently say that we, as a team, can win this competition. This is my first time on the Intercollege Quiz Bes since for the longest time, it was only exclusive to graduating students, but since the board has decided that graduating students are too busy in order to make room for this competition, it was now open to third year students.

"Kinakabahan ka ata, Angel?

"Nako, Reyner, hindi naman, kaya naman natin ito," some of my teammates said. People still get nervous on competitions like this?

"Okay, stop it, pasok na tayo sa conference room," sabat ni Celeste sa kanila. They were getting a bit too noisy.

"Hey, Luna, you okay ba?"

"Of course, Lumi," as I said that, Lumiere's face instantly tuened read. "Ikaw ba, you seem like you're not okay," I said in retaluation to him.

"Sorry, Luna, first time lang kasi may tumawag sa akin na Lumi, e. Usually it's Lumiere or Lums," he said in embarrassment.

"Ohh, I'll call you Lumi then," I said with a smile.

"Oh, power couple talaga itong dalawang ito, o," Celeste said on order to tease us.

"Celeste naman, e," Lumiere said as if he was humiliated by that simple remark.

"You think I would date anyone, Celeste? No, not a chance," I said to her while rolling my eyes.

"Oh, come on, Selena. You have to at one point," she said in retaliation.

"No."

"Do we have a problem here, ladies and gents?"

"Nothing, Ma'am Decena," I replied to her authoritative assertion.

"Anyways. Good luck to your team. Make Le Sommet Université proud. The last champion title for this competition was taken by us 5 years earlier. It's time to make history again. I trust in you all. Good luck,"the President said kindly despite her classy assertions.

We entered the cold conference room, I don't entirely know if it's really that cold for others, but I'm susceptible to the chilly embrace of the air and even the slightest change in temperature can mess with me.

When we arrived other participants are already in their respective posts. I'm a little embarassed for keeping them waiting. We're the host, and our team turned in last.

The opening program began and I frankly didn't listen. Number one, I wasn't interested. Two, it's really cold in here. Lastly, it's just a bunch of people spewing nonsense, so I don't really care.

"Luna, uhm. Nilalamig ka ba?"

"Why, Lumi? Buti natanong mo?"

"Dikit na dikit ka na sa akin kasi, e. Are you okay?"
