Thunders POV

"How much longer are we going to be driving for?" I asked impatiently and whining like a five year old.

"I dont know Thunder now shut your pie hole." Lightning said clearly getting annoyed by my whining.

I just stayed silent and watched as a big blue bus blocked one side of the road. The brake lights on the car in front of us flashed red and we all stopped.

"That's..." Lightning trailed off and quickly got out of the truck running towards the bus.

I also got out and uncle Daryl followed quickly with his crossbow.

Maggie was walking around the side of the bus with Lightning watching her intently.

Walkers were inside the bus and I'm guessing they were once part of Lightnings group.

"I need to know if he's in there." Maggie said walking back to the back door of the bus.

"Okay I'm going to let one of the out. That's it. One at a time. Okay?" Lightning said. Rick went to help and Carl stood close making sure Lightning and his father didn't get hurt and could control the door.

I just watched and observed. These people were strong and they worked together. I understood that. I was going to try my best to fit in here. For Lightning and uncle Daryl. I wasn't going to lose them again.

After all the walkers were killed Maggie went inside. Lightning insisted on going in with her but Maggie said for everyone to stay outside.

After a minute or two we could hear her crying so Lightning went inside to see what was wrong.

When the two came back out Lightning went over to speak with Rick, Daryl, Michonne and Carl. Maggie sat in the backseat of the car and I stood by myself awkwardly by the truck.

- Lightnings POV -

"Glenn wasn't in there. He could still be alive. Beth wasn't in there either." I said explaining why Maggie was crying. "He's alive. I know Glenn. He's tough."

"About Beth..." Uncle Daryl began. "I was with her for a while. We were in some kind of building. We put cans at the front door so we would know if somethin was there. At first it was a dog. Second time it was walkers. I told Beth to run and get out. I'd meet her outside. I got outside and she was gone. Her backpack on the ground and some car with a white cross driving off." I felt the tears coming to my eyes but I held them back. I knew it was hard for Daryl to talk about that.

"Hey. I'm sure she's fine." Im reassured him placing my hand on his. He just sighed and walked off towards Thunder.

"We need to keep going. Keep looking." I insisted.

"Okay. Well than we should go now. It'll be dark soon." Rick said heading towards the car.

It was the same people in the same car but I saw Michonne was driving instead of Rick and I let uncle Daryl drive. He had slept while we were driving and I was tired. Thunder was in the passenger seat so me and Carl were cuddled up in the back.

My head rested on Carls lap. He was sitting up right and I was curled up lying on my side. His hand was laid comfortingly on my arm.

It wasn't long before I drifted off to sleep.

I was awoken to the truck stopping and Carl shaking me slightly.

"Lightning. Wake up." Carl was smiling slightly as he watched me open my eyes and sit up.

"What?" I asked rubbing my eyes and picking the sleep out of them.

"We are resting here. There's a stream close by where we can get some water." Carl said smirking.

"Why are you smirking like that?" I asked a small smile creeping into my lips.

"Cause your so cute when your tired." I chuckled and lid back down on Carl but by head was on his shoulder.

"Come on babe. You gotta get up." Carl chuckled.

I opened my eyes and looked in the front seats only to see they were empty. I lifted my head and looked out the window. Everyone was gathered at the front of Ricks car talking.

I sighed and followed Carl jumping out of the truck and walking over next to everyone.

"... get water from the stream. We have enough food. We can rest up and see what happens." Rick finished. I didn't hear the first part but I didn't really mind.

"Me and Thunder can go get water." I volunteered. Thunder just looked at me than back at Rick and nodded.

"Okay. Take the buckets in the back of the truck and the empty water bottles." Rick said than gave everyone else their jobs.

I grabbed a bucket and put a few empty bottles in it while Thunder did the same. I grabbed the other empty bucket and we walked to the river cautiously.

"So what's going on between you and Carl?" Thunder asked keeping her eyes forward. She spoke with an unhappy tone.

"I love him. We've been together since.... well a few weeks after u got to the prison. Him and Rick found me in a house. I tried to get away but they caught me. Asked me three questions and decided to bring me back. I'm guessing they've already asked you." I said.

"What questions?" Thunder asked looking at me curiously.

"They didn't ask you?" I questioned shocked at this. Rick always asks the three questions.

"Nope." Thunder said sounding kinda disappointed.

"How many walkers have you killed?" I asked.

"Walkers? That's what you call them?" Thunder asked amusingly.

"Yeah." I chuckled.

"I always called them biters or ass holes. I've killed one to many." Thunder sighed at the last part.

"How many people have you killed?" I asked slowly.

"... Two." Thunder said sadly.

"Why?" I grimaced.

"These two guys had found me on the side of a road. I tired to hide but they had already seen me. Offered a ride. I said no. They got out of the car and.... they tried to uh.... rape me. I got a hold of one of the guys guns and shot them. I shot one in the arm. Other in the leg. When the guy got off me I shot his dick. Left them to turn. Took their car. Ran out of gas though." Thunder finished her story and a single tear rolled down my face.

"The guy on top of you... Did he?..." I trailed off.

"No. No. It didn't go that far." Thunders voice cracked. Something that happened when she lied.

I didn't wanna continue the conversation and we had finally reached the river. I was about to walk out from the trees and onto the flat Rick when Thunder stopped me and pointed at the two sleeping people in sleeping bags.

I looked at her and gently laid the buckets on the ground, pulling out my gun. She followed suit and we stalked towards the two people.

I clicked my gun and so did Thunder. The two people woke up looking at us and I gasped.
