Cassidy Elyse' POV

It's another day for me, haharap na naman sa isang araw para ayusin ang problema ng mga tao.

Time check. Quarter to 8:00. Hala! I'm so late, the traffic is not the usual. Hays! lagot ako neto.

Pagkarating ko sa office, I immediately proceed to my cubicle.

"Good Morning Atty. V ganda ng umaga mo ha! Pero may mas igaganda pa to, Atty. M.Y.B. assigned you to a new case, she said sorry for a short notice" Brent said.

Kinuha ni Brent ang isang file at nilahad sakin agad ko namang tinanggap yon.

"And by the way, your client is waiting in Meeting Room 4. Mukang problemado... Tulad mo haha!"

What a good morning! Tsk. Di pa nakakaupo, problema agad.

"Anong problema ng kliyente?" I asked Brent.

Kasi ang usual lang naman sakin ay consultation ng mga legal matters sa mga corporation pag nagkakaroon ng merger or acquisition. Deal Advisory.

"Oo nga pala, bago sayo to! Congrats! Mukang graduate ka na sa Revised Corporation Code of the Philippines, Family Code naman daw. Balita ko magpapa-annul eh. Buti dito nga pumunta eh. Hindi sa highest-est court, kay pareng Tulfo" Sabi niya sakin na may kasamang hand gestures pa. Tsk. This guy. Fan na fan ni Tulfo. Top fan pa ata sa page.

I thanked Brent and rushed to meeting room. It is unethical to keep the client waiting.

I entered the room and saw a woman at 40s. She looked so sad. No, more likely miserable. Muka ngang problemado. Ang bigat ng atmosphere. So much for a morning.

"Good Morning Ma'am I'm sorry for the delay, I am Atty. Cassidy Villafuerte. I'm your counsel for today" I said as I initiated a hand shake.

The consultation took four hours. It was so emotional and draining.

She wants to file an annulment because her husband is emotionally cheating with his first love. She doesn't want to file an adultery case.

At ang gusto niyang gamiting ground for annulment ay ang pagiging baog niya na sa totoo naman ay she can bear a child. She just wants to lie.

She's so selfless. All she wants is her husband to be completely happy.

I pitty her, actually annulment cases are really hard to handle because it is emotionally draining.

A big slap that a beautiful wedding doesn't guarantee a beautiful marriage.

I studied her case for the rest of the day. Medyo matrabaho ang annulment case.

Around 6pm, I went straight to my condo and cooked dinner for myself. I'm living alone. I took a shower and prepare to sleep.

I was about to sleep when I remembered the last conversation of my client this morning, when I ask why she's being unfair to herself.

"Attorney, I married my husband with a hope that not all marriage is bound because of love. Maybe a good friendship will do. It's  always been a one sided love. " a tear shed from her tired eyes.
