Chapter 17

Dreamcloud and Moonfall found Dreamstar. Dreamcloud sliced Dreamstar's neck once. Twice. Thrice. She stopped at the seventh. 

"We need to go to the Dark Forest," Dreamcloud explained, "To kill Dreamstar's spirit.

"One, two, three."

Dreamcloud shut her eyes tight, so did Moonfall. They arrived in the Dark Forest.

Moonfall killed Dreamstar's spirit.

"Great!" Dreamcloud praised her. 

Then, two toms slammed into them. Bonepelt and Bloodfang!

"You killed a worthy and great leader," they snarled, "Now we'll kill you!"

Bloodfang leapt at Dreamcloud while Bonepelt, Moonfall.

Dreamcloud fought Bloodfang off, slicing at his legs and shoulders, until she killed his spirit. 

"His spirit will come back soon," Dreamcloud panted.

Bonepelt was about to sink his fangs in Moonfall's throat. Barkstem crashed into the clearing, pushing Moonfall away, so that Bonepelt's fangs met his neck. 

"Bye," he murmured. His body fell limp and a starry outline of him rose out.

Dreamstar ran into the Dark Forest. "What's going on?"
