Awkward start「 Chapter ４」

That's when my stomach growled for food "Are you...hungry?" Shuichi asked in a concerned tone, of course I was hungry what the frick do you think Saihara!? I said to myself "Yeah I haven't eaten since yesterday at breakfast because I was with you and Kaede heh" I putted my hands behind my head "We can investigate for a few more minutes then we can grad something to eat okay?" I thought of how stupid it was because I mean he did hear my stomach growl showing that I was hungry!

I gave out an angry sigh under my breath "I guess I'll go eat by myself then, I'll be back" I walked out of the room and I could feel the tension of his eyes starring at me it frightened me a bit but decided to shake off the thought. "Hey Kokichi...I actually changed my mind, I'll just investigate...later, I can't do this at the moment" he ran up to me and when we both walked to the kitchen, everyone was at the table "It's so....quiet" Both Kokichi and Shuichi walked to the table where everyone else is and sat down next to each other. "Sorry to bother Kirumi but what's for breakfast?" She looked at Shuichi as she was giving everyone their food "I am serving FrenchToast and Cinnamon rolls, would you like some?" I looked at Shuichi and nodded "Y-yeah I'll have FrenchToast please.." Kirumi looked at me "What would you like Kokichi?" I thought for a second, what I was craving at the moment was Panta but decided to get cinnamon rolls instead "I'll get some cinnamon rolls" she nodded to my response and went into the kitchen.

The table was yet still silent and no one wanted to speak up because of what happened to Kaede, everyone liked her especially Shuichi and I knew this was going to take awhile for Shuichi to get over it. Only if I can distract him and spend every second with him then hopefully that works and make him forget about Kaede hopefully, I saw Maki get up from the table and everyone turned their attention on her. She turned her back and started walking "I'm going to investigate, we can't just stand here in silence." Maki was right we had to do this otherwise we'd all die. Kirumi brought out both mine and Shuichis food "Thank you, Kirumi" Shuichi said, she nodded and walked to the end of the table to grab Makis plate along with some other plates

"So Shuichi are you ready yet?" I got bored and decided to ask if he wanted to investigate "Oh Uhm...y-yeah I guess, but can you investigate with me? Your kind of the only person I can trust here" I was happy he thought of me as a friend, I wanted to be more than a friend to him I wanted to be his boyfriend "Okay let's go then, we can't waste time because the class trial will st-" I was cut off by the speaker going off "It's time for the class trial everyone!" Crud I spoke to soon...."Well maybe Maki has enough info investigating and can determine who did it" "Maybe to your right, it's just overwhelming to me" ugh he's talking about Kaede again "We have to do this, for Kaede and our future! If we don't we die!" I knew he didn't want that and convinced him it's not like he had a choice either.

Class trial was about to begin when Shuichi had a tear ready to fall down his cheek, WHAT DO I DO!? I breathed in and out "I'm sorry for what happened Shuichi..I" he RUDELY cut me off! (I still love you though) "No it wasn't your fault Kokichi" and god did that make me feel guilty even if I didn't even kill her I planned to...I decided to awkwardly ignore the feeling of regret "We can do this...right Shuichi?" I stare at him nervously hoping he'd not fall into the pits of despair and not be able to get out because that was my fear but who knows? He could be in despair already because of tears swelling in his eyes from the recent death from a two hours ago.
