It was a rather quiet night at North's Workshop. Everyone was off to bed to get a good night's sleep and all the yetis retreated to their own homes or resting places. However, all but one person was fast asleep.

It was Jack. Naturally.

Being the Guardian of Fun had its perks, but it didn't change the responsibilities he had as the Spirit of Winter. At times he would overwork himself, to which he would leave Ash worried for his safety. So, every once in a while, Ash insisted on making Jack have a good nights sleep.

However, her many attempts were in vain. Being the night owl that he was, he just couldn't sleep. And Jack being as stubborn as he is tired, refused to do so.

"Jack, come on. You need to rest! You've been at it for two straight months with no breaks!" Ash pleaded.

"I'm fine Ash! I'm not THAT exhausted, just a little tir- HEY!?!"

Before finishing his sentence Ash tackled Jack into their shared bed. Ash had him pinned down to the bed. She took his wrists and put them above his head. At this point Jack's mind was blank. No thoughts, head empty, just Ash.

The brunette's striking eyes fiercely stared him down. The soft moonlight from the window shining on her face, making her look ethereal.

After a good few seconds, Ash spoke up.

"Now you listen to me, Frost. I have seen you work relentlessly for two months without taking any breaks. I've seen the dark bags under your eyes. And don't even think for a moment I haven't noticed the way that you walk. Hell, you fly everywhere!! You never walk from city to city!"

Ash sighed, eyes softening at her lover.

"I'm worried about you, and I love you too much to see you like this. No amount of snow days are worth your health, Jack. We are going to bed, right now, or else no cuddles for three weeks. Understand?"

Jack was rendered speechless. Not only did Ash cause an awakening from the way she pinned him down, but it warmed his heart that she cared so much. He still wasn't used to Ash's affection, it still hadn't sunk in that he won the jackpot.

"Alright, fine. I'll sleep." Jack mumbled bashfully.

Ash finally let go of his wrists and plopped herself down next to him. Jack turned to her and wrapped his arms around her, and snuggled the crook of Ash's neck. Giggling softly, Ash welcome this gesture, and started to stoke his hair softly. Then, she began to sing a little tune she picked up not that long ago.

"Time to close your eyes
Over look the darkness
And try to dream tonight
Not so long ago
Your world was bright
So take a breath, and count to ten
And maybe you can dream again
Still dream
And all the wonder that you knew
Will all come flying back to you
If you remember all the hope you left behind
Open up your heart and change your mind
Oh what you'll find, if you still dream..."

Looking down at Jack, Ash found him fast asleep. It was truly an adorable sight.

Thank you MiM, for giving me a guy like him. Ash thought, as she placed a kiss on her boyfriend's forehead and placed a blanket on both of them.
