Song for this chapter
"I see red" everybody loves an outlaw; "daddy issues" the neighborhood"Sara...Sara"
Sara heard someone calling her name, almost yelling it and that's when she snapped out of her staring contest with Michael. The heat of his gaze made her sweat and feel uneasy as the damn tingles spread all over her body again. It felt as if the doctor was in a haze, maybe a dream even.
Tancredi reluctantly darted her hazel eyes in the direction of the voice only to see Vanessa,a secretary in the building her fiancé worked at.She was a nice person Sara had concluded from the times she had come to visit Dylan.Always smiling and being in a good mood.Still, she wondered how people managed to always be so smiley and happy. Actually if Sara had to be honest that irritated her, because most of the time it was a mask and she hated fakes.
"Hi,Vanessa. How are you?"
Sara asked and hoped she sounded at least a bit interested in the answer while trying to cover the uneasiness that settled in her stomach at being caught staring at Michael...by him alone. How stupid could she be? Having been so captivated by the man with the tattoos she didn't even realize that Dylan wasn't even beside her anymore.Sara found the urge to fake worry where her fiance was a bit disturbing. In that moment the last thing on her preoccupied mind was her husband to be.
"I'm very good, are you alright tho? I've been calling you for like the past minute. It's like you're not even here "
That only increased Sara's embarrassment but she tried to cover it with a nervous and most probably an awkward smile, feeling his piercing orbs glued to her. This man was haunting her, only she wasn't in a horror film, but the reality of what her life was.Heat spread quickly through her whole body and the dress she was wearing felt even more tight, the restaurant became too hot for her liking, she needed fresh air.
"Um,sorry about that.I was just looking around to see a familiar face"
the apology was lame as fuck but Sara didn't know what else to say without making the situation even more awkward. The doctor prayed that the blonde would buy her shitty excuse and just move along and leave her be, because right then she had absolutely no intention of having a small pointless talk.
The secretary nodded at her, offering a warm smile, not seeming to grasp Sara's inner fight or unwillingness to chat. As the doc had said she was an affable person but a little bit obnoxious, or it might just have been the fact that Sara was irritated and despised everything around her in that specific moment.
"Yeah,it happens. Now let's go get some drinks and catch up"
the Vanessa chirped cheerily and before Sara could say anything or protest, as she so wanted to do, the blonde caught her by her arm and dragged her to the bar.Not that she was complaining, because a drink or two were definitely needed in this moment and by a drink she meant sparkling water by far, since alcohol was a long gone friend of Sara's.However moving away from her previous spot somehow eased the tension in her back and forehead. Anything so she could escape his burning gaze.

Dylan and Sara just sat down after dancing to a song or two.Not that she was much of a dancer but she couldn't say no to Dyl, because the doc found herself feeling guilty for the eternal desire to brush him off .And all the people that came to ask how her father, the governor was, talked her ears off about some stupid political problems that the doc didn't give a fuck about.Being a Tancredi she hated the most. All people saw in her was the daughter of the governor of Illinois. It felt sometimes that she had no own identity, it felt as if she was just a shadow..
