By the time Olivia got home from school, Casey and Alex were already outside waiting for her. Olivia parked her small car, before climbing out slowly. She grabbed her bag as she tried to figure out why her friends were waiting for her. They still hated her as of this morning.

"What are you two doing?" Olivia asked nervously, as she avoided their eyes.

"Your mom talked to us." Alex breathed, and Olivia lifted her eyes and narrowed them as she examined Alex's face.

"About what? Because I didn't tell her to talk to you guys. I was kinda getting used to being hated." Olivia frowned.

"She helped us realize that this wasn't your fault. That we are a family now, and that we need each other. So I'm sorry for how I treated you. Case is too." Alex spoke, before elbowing the redhead to her left.

"Yeah, I'm sorry too. We need to stick together. Because right now, nothing is good. Everything is all messy and we need to stick together." Casey breathed. Olivia dropped her bag before stepping forward and hugging her friends tightly.

She fought off tears as she felt a weight lifted from her shoulders. She had been so anxious and weighed down that finding out her friends forgave her made everything better.

"Best friends forever?" Olivia whispered as she felt her friends tighten their grip on her body.

"We will always be friends. No matter what." Alex smiled.

Two weeks after Alex and Casey's parents were killed in the accident, no family members had stepped forward to claim them. Alex and Casey weren't back to school, but they were slowly managing to move forward. Casey still rarely talked, and Alex was still angry but she didn't direct her anger towards those taking care of her.

"So, should we celebrate tomorrow?" Olivia asked as she finished putting away dishes after she helped her mother wash them.

"Tomorrow?" Serena yawned. She never did expect to be raising three teenage girls, let alone working and taking care of the house.

"Casey turns sixteen tomorrow, Mom. I don't know if we should plan anything or just let it pass this year." Olivia frowned. They were still helping the girls plan their parents' funerals, let alone trying to urge them back into school. Everyone missed them, and everyone wanted to properly give them their condolences.

"I don't think we should ignore it, Liv. I think that maybe we should get a cake... maybe get her a few gifts. But keep it quiet." Serena replied.

"I already have a few gifts for her. But the cake is something you'll have to do. Because I have school tomorrow." Olivia spoke. Serena nodded slowly before reaching out and gently touching her daughter's wavy brown hair.

"I'll make tomorrow a good day. I promise... now, go finish your homework and see if the girls think tomorrow is the day to head back to school." Serena spoke. She kissed her daughter's temple before sending her on her way.

Serena was just starting to order a cake for Casey's birthday tomorrow, even if it was going to be without a good amount of notice when Casey came into the kitchen.

"Hey, honey. Whatcha doing?" Serena asked, and Casey shrugged as she walked over to the kitchen table and pulled out a chair before slouching down in it.

"I'm angry." Casey breathed. Serena frowned as she closed her laptop before looking at the girl.

"I'm sorry."

"My dad and I were planning on going to the DMV tomorrow so I could take my road test. He had been teaching me how to drive in the city, but now I'll never be able to drive." Casey whimpered.
