"You want me to adopt you too?" Henry asked, as he looked at Olivia with wide eyes. He had seen her throughout the day and noticed how withdrawn and upset she looked, but he didn't know why earlier. But now he does. He knows that Olivia felt left out and less loved because she would not be a Gaines like everyone else.

"I-i guess... I don't want to force you into anything because you didn't sign up for three girls. You only signed up for the two you want to adopt. Honestly, I feel like Leo doesn't want me... that you don't want me... and that my mother doesn't want me either. She's getting a brand new life, so why should she have a mistake around her all the time reminding her of the past?" Olivia whispered, as tears streamed steadily down her cheeks.

"Olivia, you aren't a mistake. Your mother has told you that a million times. You will never be a mistake... and when I thought I'd meet someone and fall in love with them, I thought I'd be younger. That we'd start a family together. But I never fell in love with anyone until I met your mother. And I lucked out because I am going to get three amazing daughters... See, I included you. A lot is changing in your life and I get that it's hard... but you don't need to get adopted for me to love you. For you to be included in our family. Okay?"

"Mhm." Olivia breathed. She walked over and grabbed a tissue before cleaning up her face. She looked at her soon to be stepfather before swallowing hard.

"I'm sorry. I'm being needy and dramatic. Please don't tell my mom about this... she'll be even more ashamed of me and angry at me than she already is."

"She-"

"Henry, your fiancee is here." The secretary spoke, as she opened the door without even knocking. Olivia looked at Henry with wide eyes and he knew that she was scared.

"Take the side door. She'll never know about what you said to me in here."

"Thank you." Olivia whispered, before quickly walking out.

On Friday afternoon, Serena came to the school and signed her girls out early. When the girls came down to the office with their bags in hand, all three were very confused about what was happening.

"Serena?" Alex asked, as Serena came out of the office and smiled at her girls.

"Hey... so we have two hours. I need you three to go home, shower, and get into something nice. Okay? I have to go talk to Henry real quick and then I'll meet you at home."

"What's happening? Olivia's birthday isn't till Sunday." Casey spoke, because she was kind of expecting for something to be happening to celebrate Olivia's seventeenth birthday. But Serena wouldn't pull them out for something like that when her birthday isn't for two more days.

"Henry didn't want to tell you guys till we got there... but we are going to the courthouse tonight to get married." Serena smiled. Olivia swallowed hard as she looked at her mother. They hadn't really talked since Olivia asked if she could get adopted, so Olivia didn't even realize that her mother had been planning something since they hadn't talked.

"So does this mean that the adoption is going to start really moving forward?" Alex asked as her eyes lit up.

"It does. Starting Monday morning we will be proceeding with the adoption. Henry and I will be back home from our trip and-"

"Trip?" Olivia breathed.

"We are going out of town for the weekend. We will be back on Monday to start paperwork and so Henry can head back to work." Serena spoke, and Olivia sighed softly before nodding.

"So you two are missing my birthday?" Olivia asked.

"Liv, we can celebrate next weekend, okay?" Serena sighed, and Olivia nodded.
