Olivia was off until Monday, yet she wished that she never had to go back. Her arm was super sore, and she was worried that there would be something bad waiting for her. Mr. Gaines had called a few times and reassured Olivia, Serena, and Alex that everything would be okay.

"You just have to make it through this week before being on Christmas break." Serena spoke as she helped her daughter put her sling on. Olivia's shoulder was more damaged than expected, so her sling would be a daily accessory for at least a month.

"I know, but I don't want to go back to school. What if Casey is there? She thinks that I did this all. Mama, I didn't want her to get hurt. I didn't want to get hurt either." Olivia frowned.

"I know that... but Casey was in love and doing stupid things. She was believing stupid things."

"I was the stupid thing that came from you being young, in love, and stupid." Olivia breathed as she grabbed her jacket before passing it to her mother.

"You are the best thing that has ever happened to me, Olivia." Serena spoke as she draped the jacket over her daughter's shoulders.

"I'm sure that I'll do something that will change your mind." Olivia sighed, before hearing as Alex came downstairs with both of their backpacks.

"Are you ready to go?" Alex asked, and Olivia nodded slowly.

"I guess. I'll see you tonight, Mama. I love you."

"I love you too. And I love you too, Alex. I won't be home tonight, so you two need to fend for yourselves." Serena spoke.

"Do you have a meeting or a date with Mr. Gaines?" Olivia asked, and Serena's eyes went wide.

"Uh-"

"I may have been kinda high on that pain medicine, but I did hear some stuff that was said about you dating our principal." Olivia smirked.

"Please-"

"Alex told me the rules. I'm not supposed to talk about it." Olivia spoke.

"Good, now leave. I have to go to work."

"Wait, you didn't answer my question!" Olivia exclaimed, as Alex shoved her towards the door.

"I may or may not have a Christmas party tonight where Henry is my date." Serena spoke as she blushed.

"I hope you are happy, Mama." Olivia smiled softly as she turned and looked at her mother.

"I am, baby... between you two and Henry..."

"Before you get all mushy, we have to get to school. Olivia has tests to make up before class."

The day was smoother than Olivia and Alex had anticipated. Casey was there, but she avoided her two former best friends like they had the plague.

"What do you want to do tonight?" Alex asked, as she and Olivia walked down the hall and towards the front doors of the school.

"I want to sleep. Maybe eat some nachos." Olivia spoke, and Alex smiled as she opened the door for Olivia.

"Do you want to order food or make it ourselves?" Alex asked, and Olivia stopped and stared at her friend.

"Do you feel like doing dishes?" She questioned, and Alex laughed in response.

As they moved to walk out of the school, a soft voice spoke from behind them.

"Alex? Liv?" Casey breathed. They each took a slow breath before turning to look at Casey.

"Hey..." Alex trailed off, since Olivia was too nervous to speak.
