I was in the bathroom crying. I messed up. He could've been the best thing that could ever happen to me and I broke up with him. I take deep breaths and try to calm down. Maybe it's for the best it has to be. I screwed up.

I go back to my room and lay down. It's 7:30 in the morning. Maybe I should actually try to wake up early today. I go downstairs. My mom is sitting there and drinking coffee.

"Get ready your dad is picking you up early. He's going to buy your school supplies. School starts next week you know."She says.

"Yeah." I reply

There's a piece of paper on the counter. I look at it.

"What is this?"I ask.

"Registration papers."She answers

It's for the high school in Westmount. I feel tears forming.

"Mom please, I don't want to move. Please mom please."I beg

She doesn't say anything. I run upstairs and take a shower. After I'm done I get ready. I don't put on any eye makeup because I feel like crying more. I grab my Nike backpack and put some clothes in there. I put the backpack on and go downstairs. I hear a knock at the door.

I feel more tears in my eyes. When my dad comes in he sees me with tears in my eyes.

"Melody, what's wrong?" He asks.

I surprise him, my mom, and me when I run to him and hug him. I cry in his chest and he rubs my back.

"She's going to make me move. She has the papers and I don't want to move." I cry.

He hugs me tighter.

"I'm sorry."He says.

"I don't want to move."I whisper

I open the front door to my mom's house afraid to go in. My dad comes in and says hi to my mom.

"Bye Mel."he says

"Bye."I answers and he leaves.

"Melody,come here."My mom calls from the kitchen.

I go in the kitchen and sit down.

"The registration papers were for Ryan. He is fine with moving. I'm letting you stay here for a while." She says.

"Really?"I ask.

"Yes."

I get up and hug her.

"Thank you mom. Thank you so much."I say.

"You have to keep your grades up though and stay out of trouble okay."

"Okay. Thank you so much." I say and rum upstairs to my room.

I text my friends.

I'm not moving! I'll see you all at round up!

I press send and smile. Hopefully this is going to be a good year.

First chapter of the second book! I hope you liked it. Sorry it was short. In the next chapter will be when she goes to round up and the first day. Dana will be in the next chapter. So will all the other characters. You may have noticed I changed the girl who I had as Melody. I changed her to Olivia Holt because I felt the other girl looked too old and if I kept her I would have to use the same pictures a lot.
