Chapter 19

Before he got far, he stopped. He questioned himself why he was running away when it had been what he wanted all along. This was his chance to get out of the relationship.

He just told Gulf he loved him. He should man up and take control of the situation before it was too late.

He walked back and budged in the office without knocking.

The two people split up.

"P"

"Nong"

Oat looked around embarrassed. "Nong why are you here?"

"I should be asking you that p'"

"I can explain what happened."

"What's going on?" Nic asked the two.

"What's going on is that you got caught making out with a man engaged to get married."

"P you're engaged?" Nic asked

"Was this the type of person you were?" Mew asked not giving Nic a chance to hear a reply.

"I got carried away please Nong."

"After asking me to marry you?"

"Nong hear me out."

"No there's nothing to listen to. I just saw you two with my own eyes. To think I didn't believe Gulf when he told me about you two?"

"Wait what?"

Gulf said he saw you two kissing in the car, and I told him off because I thought you're not the type of person to do that."

"But you are"

"What's that supposed to mean p?"

"You cheated on me with Gulf. Isn't that true? Why were you with him?"

"He called me to tell you that you are cheating."

"Isn't he just a saint?"

Mew rolled his eyes. "That's not the point here P. Whatever that's going on between us has to end."

"It's not going to end Nong. We are square now. You cheated once and so did I. We can start over."

"This is not a game. Marriage is a lifelong commitment and if we find ourselves cheating then we are not ready or at least we're not with the right partner."

"Nong please." Oat said as he stepped closer to Mew.

"No p." mew stepped away to create more space between them. "We saw this coming. We both saw it and didn't address it. I'm glad it's ending this soon."

Mew walked out of the room. Glad that it was finally over.

He called Gulf as he was getting in his car.

"You were right and I'm sorry I should've believed you. I should have listened to what you said.

"Would you like me to come over." Gulf asked feeling happy.

Mew hesitated.

"I don't know."

"Didn't you end things with him?"

"I did."

"Then why?"

"I'll call you. Please wait for my call."

"Oh."

"I just need to sort my head."

"Ok I'll wait for you then."
