Chapter 14 Trapdoor

Y/N: POV

Hermione and I have waited for the boys for probably an hour and now they finally come down. "What took you so long?!"I whisper yell at them. "Sorry, Ron fell asleep"Harry whispers back I nod and look at Ron he makes an innocent face. I hear something I look and see Trevor and I think the others see him too. "Shh...Trevor you aren't supposed to be here!"Ron whisper yells to the toad.

"Neither should you, "Neville says standing up from the chair "You're sneaking out again aren't you?" he asks. "Dude list-" he cut me off "No! you aren't you will just get Gryffindor in trouble again.....I'll fight you!" he says sounding so not confident about this.

"Neville, Y/n is really sorry for this, "Hermione says and nudges me "Oh, "I say remembering that I just learned to petrify without a wand or saying anything. I look at Neville in the eyes and he falls to the ground petrified. "Y-You two can be scary sometimes...Brilliant but scary"Ron says I turn to him "Thank you, Ronald!"I say and we walk by Neville and say quickly 'sorry'

We are walking under Harry's cloak on the third-floor corridor and a little while ago Ron stepped on Hermione's foot and we talking about my special powers that I'm able to petrify, unlock and lock doors, make objects fly and that I have incredible strength and super good hearing and In class, we are putting things on fire I can do it with my wand but I'm training to make a fire in my palm and ever since I was little I have been able to stir boiling water with my hand but Mum and Dad said some wizards or witches have this but now I know they don't.

We are now outside Fluffy's room I look at the door and it unlocks we go inside but...."He's already asleep?" I say to Harry and he turns towards Fluffy. "We need to move his paw," Harry says to us we nod and walk up to his paw. "Push," Harry tells us we push it was very light for me at least. Harry opens the trapdoor. "I go down first don't follow until I say so"Harry orders I nod. "Harry the harp has stopped playing!"I whisper yell to him suddenly something slimy drops on Ron's shoulder we look up and see Fluffy towering over us. "Jump!!"Harry says and jumps I jump after.

I land on a plant of some sort and Hermione and Ron fall down. "Are you guys okay?"I ask them. "Yeah lucky this plant was here," Ron says I look closer at the plant and gasp and Ron yelps I look at him and the devils snare is starting to wrap around all of us and the three start trying to get out. "Hermione stop you know what plant this is!"I say to her. She looks at me and the plant. "Stop moving it's the devil's snare if you don't it will only kill you faster!"Hermione says.

"Great going Hermione, "I say because knowing my brother he will freak out. "KILL US FASTER oh now I can relax!"Ron yells I roll my eyes and sink through the plant. "Y/n!!"I hear the boys yell and then Hermione falls through I go and help her up. "You okay?"I ask as the boys yell after Hermione. "Yeah," she says and rubs her head. "Y/N, HERMIONE WHERE ARE YOU!"Harry yells.

"DUDE WE ARE UNDER YOU NOW IF YOU TRUST ME STOP MOVING!!"I yell a little annoyed. Surely not long after Harry falls through. I turn to Harry with an innocent smile he just shakes his head and smiles at me. "Lumos!!"Hermione casts the spell. The room lights up and the devil's snare hides and Ron falls to the ground I run up to him. "Are you okay Ronald?"I ask him. "Yeah, weew lucky we didn't panic, "He says.

"Lucky Hermione remember what we learn in herbology," Harry says I let out a laugh. Ron looks at me offended I just give him an innocent smile. "Come on this way," Harry says and begins walking to a door with Hermione, Ron, and I right behind him. He opens the door and I hear wings we walk through the door and see...Keys?

"What sort of bird is that?"Hermione asks I look at the keys wondering who charmed them. "It's no birds...It's keys" Harry says walking farther into the room. "There's the door"Ron points at a door we walk to it. Ron try Alohomora but that didn't work. "Y/n try, "Ron tells me I roll my eyes. "Ronald it's a lock charm it doesn't open except if you blow the door off or have the password, "I explain "But you have super strength don't you?"He asks.

"Ron I'm not gonna destroy school property," I say calmly I look to where Harry is and walk over to him he's looking at a broom "I think the key is the old one with a broken wing, "I say to everyone. "Well come on," Ron says gesturing the broom. "It's too easy," Harry says. "Harry if whoever it is can catch the key on that old broom so can you you're the youngest Seeker in a century!"I explain He nods and I back away a little.

He grabs the broom and the keys dart towards him, he jumps on the broom chasing the key. He catches the key and flies down to us and trows the key to Hermione who runs to the door tries to put the key in the keyhole while Ron is telling her to hurry she gets the key in and opens the door fast and we run through and wait until Harry flies through and I slam the door shut and I gulp when I hear the keys dart the door. "Harry are you okay!?"I ask him running up to him he nods.

We let go and I walk to the next door and open it. We walk in slowly I look around. "I don't like this I don't like this at all"Hermione and I say in unison. "It looks like a graveyard," Harry says and Ron steps forward "It's not a graveyard...It's a chessboard," Ron says and the room lights up. "There's the door" Ron points at the door and we start walking but I stop feeling someone present and just then the Pawns pull out their swords so we can't pass and Harry, Hermione and Ron back away slowly and the Pawns put their swords back. "And what do we do now?"Hermione asks. "Isn't it obvious we play our way through the room" Ron says.
