TAEHYUNG
My eyes grow dull.
A woman's on the ground, her expression furious. And Jungkook looks like he doesn't know what to do, bowing his head multiple times, apologizing in shaky words.
"What are you going to do?!" A man yells, and my lip curls in distaste when he points at the fallen woman. "She's pregnant! What are you going to do if my wife loses our baby because of you?"
Jungkook keeps apologizing, his head pushed down low.
People. Just so predictable all the time.
But then I hear the sound of skin hitting skin, and that draws my attention when I see Jungkook stumble back. Rieul's wallet drops from his trembling hands.
The man raises his hand again.
The woman screams in that annoying, high tone for the second time when I grip his wrist, twisting it upwards. It breaks instantly under my hold.
I wince.
"Damn. Stop fucking screaming."
"You crazy bastard!" She yells at me, scrambling up to her feet as I watch her pathetic husband and his broken wrist. "How could you do—"
"I said to stop, didn't I."
She cries out when I slam my hand into the side of her cheek, cutting off her annoying screams. But then the crying starts next, and I breathe out deeply.
"Just can't keep quiet, can you?"
"Did you just hit my pregnant wife?!" The man shouts, and I look at him with a flat stare. He draws back a little when I tilt my head, features twisting with a scowl.
"Over and over with this pregnant wife." I say, eyes narrowed. "So what? Just because she's pregnant and she's your damn wife, I can't hit her?"
I laugh coldly.
"And you can hit him?"
"T-That's because he crashed into me first!" The woman yells, and I click my tongue. "He deserved it!"
"You."
She closes her lips when I look down on her, my voice wreathed with disgust.
"You just need to shut the hell up."
Then someone suddenly tugs at my shirt, and I look back to see Jungkook. He's not meeting my gaze, and I notice he'd gotten hit harder than I'd expected. His cheek is nearly dark red.
"H-Hyung, let's just please leave." He stutters, and I stare at him as he bites on his lip. "I'm sorry, it's all my fault. It's all m-mine. I want to go."
"Yeah, just leave." The man hisses, shaking his fist. "Before I call the cops on you for hitting my wife!"
"Hah."
I shake off Jungkook's grip. That damn woman screams again when I wrap my fingers around the man's neck, tightening.
"You know," I say, my lips curving up into a smile at his terrified expression. "This is why I just don't deal with people at all. Because they can't listen. They just can't fucking understand."
I pull my hand back.
"And that pisses me off."
