*Joey Butch's P.O.V.*
"Daddy! Mummy! Where are my clothes?" I yell at my parents. My mummy scrambles up the stairs to give me my outfit.
"Here they are, Joey baby, nice and fresh just for you!" Mummy croons. She smooths my red hair out and leaves me to change. I walk down the stairs into our living room.
"Good looking, son!" Daddy booms. I smile proudly, Daddy always thinks I'm good-looking. My family goes off to the square for today's reaping. I find the sixteen-year-old section and stand there. I wave to some girls, but they shoot me rude glances. Stupid girls.
"Hello, District 10! What a lovely day it is!" some man says on the stage. He looks weird. "Let's start off today with our girls! Yes, today's lucky tribute is..." he pulls out a slip of paper "Rylie Cage!"
"Rylie! No!" A childish voice shrieks. Some old people are holding a small girl back while Rylie walks bravely to the stage. Hey! She was one of the girls who gave he a dirty look!
"And now for our gentleman!" He pulls out another paper and says, "Joey Butch!"
*Rylie Cage's P.O.V.*
I hear Davina screaming in the background as the snobby Joey kid walks up next to me, shooting me daggers. I roll my eyes and let myself be taken away to say goodbye. Davina immediately rushes up to me and throws her arms around my waist. She's pretty strong for a seven-year-old.
"Don't go!" she cries as my grandparents cover me with kisses. I hold onto all of them until I'm taken away to head to District 11 for their tributes.
