The three of you had a restless night.

The realization that Bucky would be gone tomorrow to fight in a war was terrifying.

You all made a pact when the war started that you three would stay out of it. That the three of you wouldn't enlist for any sort of position that would place any of you in danger.

You and Bucky knew that Steve had broken that pact several times, but didn't bring it up because you all knew that conversation would just end in arguing.

Yes, the thought of Steve fighting with someone twice his size was terrifying, but you knew that no one with eyes would ever accept his enlistment.

However, Bucky wasn't given a choice. He'd have to fight, whether he wanted to or not.

He was going to risk his life for his country. It's not that he didn't want to help, he just didn't want to leave his two lovers behind.

You all cuddled in your queen sized bed, none of you closing your eyes for a second.

You couldn't miss one more moment with Bucky because, for all you knew, tomorrow could be your last day seeing him alive.

It was morbid, but it was true, you had no idea what would happen in the future and it terrified you to no end.

You always thought it would always be you, Steve, and Bucky as a little family in your modest apartment, with your cute little dog, and an immeasurable amount of love to be shared.

Now your Bucky was leaving. He was leaving you, he was leaving Steve, he was leaving Juno, he was leaving your apartment, he was leaving home.

It's not like he had a choice in the matter but it still hurt.

Dammit Bucky, why couldn't you be more like Steve and have asthma or somethin'? Then you could've been exempt.

You stared at your two beautiful boys as the three of you held onto each other for dear life.

Sadly, morning came sooner than any of you wanted, but you were determined to make today perfect.

You got out of bed before Steve and Bucky could try and stop you, and try they did.

You fed Juno and made some french toast, you refused to waste any time today. You and your boys were going to have a great day, you were going to make sure of it.

By the time you had set the table and placed down everyone's normal drinks and servings, the boys had finally made their way out of the bedroom.

You could see how much they were trying to enjoy this, but the reality of the situation still loomed over the throuple like a dark cloud.

Breakfast was eaten with minimal conversation, no one knew what to say.

How do you address this situation without breaking down into tears? I think yesterday was a good enough example to show that you can't.

So they didn't, they ate in almost complete silence.

It was Steve's turn to do the dishes, so he got up and gathered the plates without a word.

You and Bucky got dressed, you wore a cute (F/C) dress that Steve and Bucky got for your birthday last year. You thought there was no better time to wear it.

Bucky put on his new uniform and, as much as you hated to admit it, he looked so incredibly handsome in it.

His icy blue eyes made contact with your (E/C) orbs as you both took in the other's appearance.
