Why am I up here?

Why do I have my wings back?

Why am I not down there with Mark?

Unorganized, varied thoughts and emotions ran through the brown haired man's mind, as he began pacing through the white walls of heaven. His perfect, white feathers were flowing through, as he pranced around with his arms folded in front of his chest. He could feel himself drowning in a pool of memories, wondering why he wasn't with his boyfriend, on land.

His mind was racing a mile a minute, and his heart and soul were gone, as if his human life had been a figment of his imagination, a time created to pass this surreal life.

"You're here, because your punishment on earth is through. You're back to your regular duties, so long as you leave feelings out of it," Michael, one of the archangels spoke, reading Wei's every thought.

"No! I don't want to be back here. I need to be with my Mark. I need to be in his arms. I am nothing without him!" Wei could feel tears form by the corners of his eyes, missing his world, his everything.

"Wei-"

"I don't care what it takes to get me back there, but I need him. I get it, angels don't have feelings because you don't have hearts; you're simple beings, but I was always his and he was always mine. Even before I was given the right to choose," Wei yelled, furious that he was taken without his permission.

"We didn't bring you here," Michael informed him, as the younger angel took a breath.

"What the fuck do you mean you didn't bring me here? Why else would I be up here then, and not down there?" the realization of the worst scenario hit him, as he resumed speaking, "I died, didn't I?"

The shaking of the archangel's head had Wei even more worried and apprehensive, asking the dreaded question, "Did my Mark die? If he did, kill me now, and I'll find him in the next lifetime. I won't live without him. I-"

"Neither of you died, but you are both severely unconscious, as you were impacted by the bomb that went off. Akira's men were able to diffuse it, but you know Zheng's type, he's able to mess with people's memories and thoughts, and he took advantage of that. He tricked your mind to believing you were attacked. As you and Mark and Noah are humans, you're now in a state of uncertainty whether you'd like to wake up, or stay up here," Uriel, another archangel's voice, was deep and firm, responding to Wei.

"Up here? Where is he? I want to see him," Wei begged, his wings coloring themselves gray with his love for Mark being his priority.

"He's with Gabriel and Noah is with Raphael. They're a bit jumbled, so I sent Mina and Haru to calm them," Michael informed him.

"So I'm stuck here until what? True love's kiss? Well, this is gonna be one sucky ending, since both princes are dying," Wei knew how childish he sounded, and the laughs from the two of the four archangels wasn't helping the situation.

Pacing the corridors through the many walls, he remembered what his angel powers were when he had first tapped into them; being able to see into earth without having to go down. That's how he had fallen in love with Mark to begin with, watching him laugh and mess around with people.

Closing his eyes and focusing on the incident that occurred after the bomb was thrown at them, Wei saw the both of them holding hands for dear life, with Noah beside them, being placed in ambulances.

The paramedics had tried everything and anything possible, but Mark and Wei wouldn't and couldn't be unlocked. There was some sort of bond tying the two, which had the nurses of the hospital place them in the same room and Noah in the room beside theirs. Well, that was until Caiden and Jake came in with Zane, and demanded Noah be put in the same room, as it was unfair to have to choose who to see.
