They Know

Honey Lemon's POV

It's been a few weeks since my first day at the lab and it's been a blast! I've had a lot of progress on my project, I'm really great friends with everyone (even GoGo who's really tough) and I got to spend a lot of time with Tadashi. Oh Tadashi, he's so sweet and kind and shy and... just too good to be true. I swear, he's just an angel without wings. So one day, Tadashi left early because his aunt was catering a big reunion and she needed all hands on deck even if she didn't usually need their help. So me and the gang were left in the lab. We were all pretty chatty until Fred called for silence.

"Guys! Shut up for a minute, I gotta ask Honey Lemon something!" he shouted

We were all just staring at Fred, and I was kind of nervous as to what he had to ask me

"Honey Lemon, how do you feel about Tadashi?" he asked with a sly smile

I instantly blushed

"Well, I think he's a great lab partner and a great friend to all of us. Not to mention kind, sweet, shy, sincere and-"

I stopped because I realized that I was going on about Tadashi's qualities that I liked so much. Everyone then gave each other the "we-know-the-same-thing" kind of look.

"What?" I asked, not knowing what was coming next

They all looked at me

"You have a big crush on Tadashi, don't you?" they all said at the same time

"What? No! What makes you say that?" I could feel my face getting hot and I was in denial because I know what they're saying is true.

"It's way too obvious honey lemon" Gogo said while popping another bubble

"Yeah, the way you act towards him is a dead giveaway. I mean the way you look at him, the way you act towards him, even the way you smile at him just screams "I LOVE TADASHI." Wasabi said while frantically waving his arms

"Wow am I that obvious?"

"YES" they said in unison (again)

"Okay, since all of you know that I like Tadashi, can you all promise me that you won't tell him anything?" I said, not sure whether I was joking or serious

"Yeah, fine we won't"

"Good, the last thing I want is for it to be awkward between us"

As we went back to work, I heard Fred saying "I knew it, I knew it!"

I hope they don't tell.

Tadashi's POV

So I'm at the Lucky Cat cafe helping my aunt. As much as I want to help out my aunt whenever I can, I just REALLY need to get back on improving my project and it just keeps coming back to me. Hiro must have noticed because he just got my shoulders and he had this mixed look of concern and determination.

"Talk to me" he says

"It's just... I have to get back to my project and I don't even have a lot of time left to complete it" I said, rubbing my eyes

"Is that the only reason you want to go back?"

I stared at him in disbelief, because there WAS another reason I wanted to go back and, though it's not as important as my project at the moment, it just keeps coming back to me and just makes me want to go back to the lab even more

"Dude, I can tell"

"What?"

"You like this Honey Lemon person. A LOT."

I just blushed so much.

"How can you tell dude?"

"I CAN TELL. Like talking about her all the time isn't obvious enough. The way you blush whenever I say her name is just too obvious."

"My god, and I've been trying to keep it on the down low all this time." I said

"Tadashi! Hiro! I need a little help with this!" Aunt cass shouted

"Dude, just go. I'll tell aunt cass something came up at the lab and you really had to go. We'll find someone" he said already running to aunt cass

"Just don't tell anyone, alright?" I shouted, running out the door

Honey Lemon's POV

I was really busy with my project when the door slammed open. It was Tadashi, breathing heavily like he just ran a marathon.

"Tadashi, are you alright? Do you need water or something?" I said with concern

I suddenly heard the whole room go "ooooooohh"

I could feel myself blush

"You guys are so immature" I whispered, annoyed

That kept them quiet as of the meantime

I sat Tadashi down and gave him some water. He gratefully accepted it and chugged it all as I was standing nearby if he needs anything else. After he finished, he pulled me nearer and gave me a hug around my stomach.

"I really appreciate this honey " he whispers

I just stayed silent and hugged him back

When he stood up, we both just smiled at each other for a pretty long time

"Go get 'me tiger" I said, still smiling

"You too honey, you too" smiling, he stood up and went to his room.
