*Sofia's POV*
"WHO DID THIS?! It certainly wasn't me. No, no. Somebody, NOT ME, must have moved it between the time I was the last person alone with the body in the room and then stepped out for a few minutes to take care of some personal business- that you don't need to know about. Could have been anybody... Except me," Abe rambled as we all stood in shock, looking at where Mark had been moments earlier.
The shape of his body had been marked down in tape, but the sheet that had covering him was gone, along with his body. How could someone move the body? Who was it? Was there someone else in the house?
I felt Y/N grab onto my arm. They were looking as horrified as I was. What was going on?
"What the hell happened here?" Ben came barging into the room when he heard yelling.
"The body has been moved," Abe responded.
"On its own?"
"No, of course not. Unless it did, in which case we've got way bigger problems than a simple murder." Lighthning struck as I rolled my eyes. Where zombies involved now?
"What the hell happened here?" Now it was the chef asking the same thing.
"The body's moved."
"On it's own?"
"We haven't quite ruled that out just yet, but let's not forget we've got a murderer." Abe answered, getting tired of having to answer everything.
I was getting tired myself, at the situation and the lightning that seemed to make an appearance whenever we talked about Mark's death. "Obviously someone moved it, he couldn't move himself right?"
Nobody answered. "It's impossible! He is dead and it was probably the murderer," I was cut off again as lightning sounded.
"Bully! Quite a storm out there, eh chaps? What are you doing huddled here in fear?"
William. Oh, now he decided to show up. I felt Y/N stiffen at my side, clearly surprised that he had shown up. I was about to give him a piece of my mind when the chef spoke up again. "We have a zombie problem."
"Ah! Homonecrosis. The most dangerous game. Well, if someone needs to put the old lad down again, I'm well up for the privilege."
I felt sick when I realized what he was saying. But Abe beat me to the questioning as he was also starting to wonder what the Colonel meant. "What do you mean by again, and what do you mean by privilege?"
"I'm just saying, I've got plenty of... experience."
"So do I." The chef seemed to be thinking this was some sort of game as he looked at Abe, a glint in his eye."
Y/N seemed to want nothing to do, so they just carefully moved behind me. I put my arm in front of them and walked up to Abe.
"Yeah, that just raises more questions." he said to William. I stood next to Abe. "Actually we need to talk to you, William."
"Ah, Miss Sofia," he said with a grand gesture. "So lovely to see you again! Had fun last night did we?" He said with a wink.
My face bloomed with color. "That is not what I need to talk to you about, Colonel."
"Well, I'm off to the grounds to see if I can catch a whiff of the old bag of bones, eh?" He completely ignored me and started to leave the room, unbothered by that fact that his brother's body was missing. Now I understood why Damien had been so angry earlier.
"Weren't you and Mark the same age?" Ben asked with a puzzled look on his face as William walked out the room and out of sight.
Y/N and I looked at each other. Did the others not know they were brothers? I decided not to say anything, not wanitng to upset Y/N and Damien anymore.
