13. ressurection

"No, no she can't be dead she can't!" Snape wailed, tears streaming down his face.
"I just got her back, she can't be gone" Snape continued to cry, his words barely making their way out through his tears.

The room grew silent as they stood surrounding the girl. Her eyes were shut and she looked peaceful.

"I'm sorry Severus" Dumbledore said in defeat

"I can't believe this" Hermione began to cry into Ron's chest while he comforted her in a hug. He stared at the dead body in front of him with sorrow.

"She was a bright girl Severus. You should be proud of the young women she became." McGonogal put a hand Snapes shoulder

"No, no she isn't gone!" Draco finally spoke, or rather shouted "It's Alina, she is the strongest girl I know. She can't die!!" Tears starting to roll down his red face. He was mad at himself, he told himself he would protect her, and now he's failed.

Harry then ran in to the room.

"Oh god" He said in shock looking at his deadened friend, his scar beginning to burn.

"Potter, you're scar hurts?" Dumbledore said looking over at Snape

"Yes professor" Harry fell to his knees, groaning in pain.

Suddenly a loud gasp filled the hall. Alina was awake, grabbing her wrist in pain.

"Dad, dad it hurts!" She cried out

"I know my child I know" He said in relief, hugging his daughter

"Dad?" The four students gasped.

After he ensured his daughter was safe, Snape grabbed Hermione Ron Draco and Harry pulled them out of the wing.

"Alina is my daughter. If you tell anyone I will make sure it is the last time you speak. Understood you four?"

They nodded in fear.

"Potter I will need you in my office tomorrow morning"

The four students and Snape stayed at Alinas side all night. Snape and Draco felling rumors  about Slytherin students, and the trio talking about the next event for the tournament.

Alina slept most of the night. They had found out she was allergic to a certain weed in the lake and it had caused her lungs to swell. But no one really believed that.

Snape had a theory it was the dark lord warning him, and Dumbledore agreed.

The rest of them believed it was Pansy who had bribed one of the sirens to poison Alina. Seeing as Pansy had been acting suspicious lately.

But they all settled on her being allergic for now.

Snape left late at night since he had classes the next day. He gave the four permission to stay all night and skip classes the next day in exchange for them to watch over his daughter.

They took turns, Hermione, Ron and Harry staying for a few hours and then Draco staying for a few hours.

It was Dracos turn when Alina woke up.

"Hey Malfoy" She said sounding like a 30 year smoker

"Hi Hemmings. You need water" He grabbed the glass and moved it to her lips, slowing tipping it so that she could drink.

"Thanks" She replied as he sat back down

"I know you said it was okay, but i still feel really bad about what happened with Pansy. Especially since you almost died. I wouldn't have been able to ever forgive myself if you died mad at me"

"Malfoy, it's really okay. You being here is enough of an apology"

He smiled at her.

"So Snape is your father?"

"Yes, I didn't know until a few weeks ago"

"Well that would explain why my father knew what dress you were wearing. And why Snape threatened me the night of the dance"

"He did?" Alina was embarrassed

"Yes he did. He really loves you Hemmings. He made me promise to care for you when he's not around" Earlier that night Snape begged Draco to care for Alina whether or not they liked each other.

"Well, I guess you will be staying with me more often seeing as my father is always away teaching or watching over detention" Alina joked

"I wouldn't mind that. Anyways, my time is almost over and I would like to leave before those Gryffindors get back. Goodbye Alina, I'm glad you're alive" Draco leaned over Alina, his lips meeting her forehead. He planted a kiss and left.
