I had went back to my room after my discussion with Dumbledore. That afternoon, Snape brought me lunch and my books so I could begin studying.

But as Snape was about to leave I realized something

"Professor Snape-" I said rather quietly, scared to bother him anymore than I already have

"Yes, Ms.Hemmings" He said in his usual annoyed tone

"I am sorry to bother you sir but I was wondering... what should I tell other students when they ask why I am here and why I dont belong to a house"

He seemed to be intrigued by my question because he had turned around and taken a seat on the couch.

"Well Ms. Hemmings that is a quite interesting question. I supposed you should tell them truth. That the houses were full, and that there was no other place for you to live, in response to the housing question. Tell them that Dumbledore did not want you to be sorted in to a house because of the large amounts of students."

"I'm sorry sir, but did you say the houses are actually full?" I questioned, not believing that the large castle could have a limit of students

"Yes they are. However space would have been made for you if you would have been... suited... into a house. But, when the students arrived in to their dorms Monday evening they realized there were no extra beds nor extra space, so you're alibi will most likely not be question. As for why you are here, I supposed you should tell the students that you simply transferred from America, to receive a... better education"

"Okay sir, that sounds valid. Thank you Professor, not only for your advice but for everything you have done for me these past days." I said sincerely

He then did something that shocked me... he smiled "You are very welcome Ms. Hemmings, if you need anything else, do not hesitate to ask me" He then sat up from the couch and made his way out of my room.

Maybe Snape wasn't so bad.

Snape had brought me dinner as well but I didn't eat it. Instead I had been studying non stop. I understood almost everything in the books I had read, most of the things I have learned many years ago with Sirius. I had even spotted a few mistakes in a couple of the books.

I realized over the course of the day that I was quite advanced and that maybe classes won't be so bad. With that peaceful thought, I had laid down and fallen asleep, ready to begin classes the next day.
