Tuesday, Fourth Year Of Hogwarts

The hall grew silent.

All eyes moved up from the four candlelite tables to the girl that stood in the doorway of the great hall. The familiar sound of students discussing lowered to such a quiet state that a needle dropping could be easily heard. And after a few seconds of complete silence, a collection of whispers grew.

The girl radiated a feeling of power and dominance as she walked down the hall. Her hair was black, with dark brown highlights streaming through. The strands laid perfectly at her shoulders and moved at a gentle unity with her steps. Her eyes were a greenish brown color and she had a nonchalant stare with them. The way they focused ahead was intimidating and I must admit, attractive as well. However, I was not so awestruck by her like everyone else was, but for some reason I still couldn't take my eyes off her.

She now stood in front of Dumbledore and even he looked amazed by her. He held out his hand and she shook it. He then rose up from his chair so that he could reach the girls ear and whispered something. She nodded at him with and made her way to the room in the corner of the hall.

Snape now stood up and walked towards the room as well. He held the door open for the girl, watching her moves closely and observing her with a slight curiosity in his eyes. They both made their way in to the room. The door shutting behind them

"Bloody hell mate" I heard a voice say in shock, breaking my attention from the door. I looked over and saw Crabbe next to me, staring at the door with wide eyes.

"Did you see that ass? My god it must weigh at least 45 kilos on its own." Flint blurted out, nearly shouting across the table

"Would you cut it out" I intervened "She would never get with boys like you so don't even begin to fantasize about her" God sometimes I question why I have ever befriended these dumb wits.

"My god Draco" Flint responded "don't act like she would get with you either."

'We'll see about that' I thought to myself

"Ms.Hemmings, a pleasure" Snape said as I made my way in to the small room.

"Thank you professor, it is a pleasure to meet you as well. I have heard so much about you"

"Well good things I hope" He pulled out a chair and motioned me to have a seat.

I sat down. "Well yes, you are definitely Dumbledores favorite" I said. I had been in contact with Dumbledore for a couple months, discussing my arrival to the school and the supplies I should bring.

Snape snorted a bit at my comment and then laid an old wilted hat on my head. It began to speak

"Ah interesting. I see an extreme amount of power. Lots of courage and bravery. Gryffindor is certainly present. But I also see wisdom, large amounts of wisdom. You are a very clever girl, Ravenclaw would be very lucky to have your knowledgeable self. But I also see you are very persistent and hard working. You have a great amount of dedication to your work. Hufflepuff is a good match.-" The hat then began to breathe harder and harder, almost as if it was panicking

"But no no I see Slytherin. Your family is Slytherin you must be Slytherin. You are manipulative and cunning. But you are not as wicked as they are. I don't understand. I don't understand!" And with that, the hat flew off of my head and laid crying on the floor.

Snape quickly rushed out of the room. Leaving me alone with the hat.
