After ramen; Naruto volunteered me to host a sleepover. At least this cock block was adorable?

Sakura ended up crashing in bed with me; Kakashi and Sasuke were in the guest room; and Naruto got stuck on the couch.

It was finally morning time; and we were all in the hokage's office.

"I won't be sending you on long missions for awhile; unless I really need to," her arms were crossed and her eyes were closed.

"Most of your missions will be D ranked and around the village."

I quickly slapped my hand over Naruto's mouth and I felt his muffled groan against my hand.

She quickly gave us our first mission of the day and sent us off. And that's how it went for a couple of weeks.

Until Team 10 went M.I.A, and every other team was already out on missions.

"Team 10 should've been back two days ago; so I need your team to search for them; in between here and Suna. Go home and pack; you'll leave immediately," Tsunade looked exhausted.

Even though I was a bit hesitant about leaving again; I did as I was instructed.
We all met at the gate and didn't waste time on heading out. Searching in between here and Suna wasn't going to be an easy task after all.
We all took to the trees; silently jumping around. While they looked for Team 10; I kept an eye out for any sign of Orochimaru.

When the sun began to set; we decided to stop and camp for the night. Kakashi and I took shifts of keeping watch.
    It was an uneventful night thank fully.

The next day was spent the same way. Until we actually ran across the team. We all jumped from the trees and landed in front of them.

"Kakashi? (Y/n)? What are you guys doing out here?," Asuma ashed his cigarette before replacing it in his mouth.

I stepped forward, "we're here looking for you and your team. You were supposed to be back days ago."

He furrowed his brow, "Ino ended up getting sick. The Kazekage had sent a messenger to let the hokage know we'd be running late."

Kakashi stepped forward, "She didn't receive a message."

My heart dropped, "This isn't good Kakashi. This doesn't feel right."

"Do you think it was him?"

I nodded, "It's the perfect way to get me out of the city. We need to head back now."

Kakashi went to turn to Asuma but a kagune I wasn't familiar with wrapped around his waist and yanked him backwards.

It must've been a new ghoul; both of her eyes were black and red. Her kagune has Kakashi's arms pinned to his side; so he couldn't fight back.

"Everyone begins me now!," I basically growled the sentence at them and took a protective stance in front of them.

"Who are you?"

She smiled, "That's irrelevant to this situation. I know who you are though (Y/n). Lord Orochimaru sent me to bring you back. I think I'll bring this one back with us."
She pulled Kakashi near her and licked his face, "he looks delicious."

I didn't even hesitate; I used my kagune to slice into hers; she instantly dropped Kakashi and screamed, "YOU BITCH!," her kagune was dangling by a thread.

I quickly scooped up Kakashi and sat him behind me. Then I smirked at her, "Guess you'll learn to not touch what's mine."

"YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT!"

She charged at me and I followed suit. She went to punch me in the face; but I dropped down quickly. At the same time I shoved my hand upwards into her chest cavity. She froze as my hand reached her heart.

I leaned into her ear and whispered, "I'll kill Orochimaru for our suffering," and then I ripped her heart out. I sat her down easily and then turned back to everyone.

They all looked like they were gonna be sick; as they stared at my hand. I raised my eyebrow and looked down; oops, I forgot to drop her heart. I let it go and wiped my hand on my pants.

I rubbed the back of my head with my clean hand, "Guess that was a bit gruesome huh?"

Ino ran to the woods and I could hear her emptying her stomach of any contents it contained.

Shikamaru rolled his eyes, "What a drag," and followed after her.

I cleared my throat, "When they get back, we should start running."

Everyone just silently nodded; I guess watching me rip someone's heart out was enough for them today.

Even though we still had to stop and camp once; we made it back to Konoha without any more interruptions. I found it odd; but I kept that feeling to myself.
I still couldn't shake this weird feeling I had. I don't think we'll be getting any down time again for quite some time.

Sometimes I wish my gut was wrong.
