Orochimaru's Creation (KakashiXReader)

Uneasy

ARE WE THERE YET?," I loved naruto but he was driving me crazy right now.

I looked down at him and smiled, "Go ask Kakashi sensei; he'd know better than I would silly."

Naruto chuckled, "You're right!," And he started walking back to where Kakashi was in our formation.

I sighed; I loved that ball of light but lord. We had only been walking for 3 hours and it took 3 days to get to our destination.

As one fell back; another came forward. Sakura soon followed in step beside me.

"So."

She stayed quiet for a minute.

"So?"

"You and sensei huh?"

"Shhh, we're not talking about this right now. We can talk once we get back to Kohona."

"Is it because of-"

"Yes Sakura; now please."

She simply nodded and stayed quiet for a minute.

"He is quite handsome though isn't he?"

"Sakura please, I will punch you."

Her eyes widened and I raised my eyebrows at her; daring her to test me.

She gulped, "I'm gonna go bother Sasuke now," and ran back to the angsty ball of emotion.

"Finally; I can walk in peace," I murmured to myself.

"Sure about that?"

"FUCKING HELL," I fell directly on my face and I could hear three laughs.

I groaned and sat up, I rubbed my face and winced.
There was no blood anywhere, but I'm sure my cheek would be bruised.

Kakashi reached out to me, "I didn't meant to scare you (y/n)."

I grabbed his hand and he helped me to my feet, "It's okay; nothings broken."

I realized the three were still chuckling and I quickly glared at them. They all went silent and just stared at me.

I pointed to my eyes with my middle and index finger and then pointed it back at them, "I'll get you when you least expect it kids."

They gulped and I smiled. I probably wouldn't get them back; the fear I instilled into them would be enough.. we'll see though.

We started walking again, "so why are you up here instead of back there?"

"I just wanted to switch so I could guide us to an inn nearby."

I rubbed the back of my head, "oh! I'll go back there now."

He brushed his hand against mine; it was only long enough for me to notice.
As I made my way to the back of the group, I smiled to myself.

As we continued walking; I suddenly felt uneasy. Someone was watching us; but I couldn't tell where they were. Their chakra was masked; which only made me think of one person.

Orochimaru.

I knew If I reacted; I'd just be falling into whatever game he was playing. If he wanted to take me now; he'd already make his move.

No he was watching; to see how I reacted with the other four. I needed to treat them all like they were only at arms length to me personally. I was glad they were more focused on tormenting Kakashi right now.

At the inn; I'd tell Kakashi about him watching. For now; I just focused on the path ahead of me. I hoped he hadn't saw that brief moment between me and Kakashi.

The inn was another three hours ahead; I was extremely grateful when we finally reached it. Sasuke and Naruto were in a room connected to Kakashi's. While Sakura and I stayed in a separate room. I decided to stay in the room while Sakura went to hang out with Sasuke and Naruto in their room. I needed to find a way to talk to Kakashi; I didn't know if Orochimaru was still around.

Knock, knock

I knew it wasn't Sakura; she had our room key. I slowly walked to the door and readied myself for a potential fight.

When I opened the door; a confused looking Kakashi was standing in front of me.

I had already closed the curtain; so I quickly pulled him in and closed the door.

"(Y/n)?"

I pulled him into the bathroom and shut the door, "Orochimaru was following us."

His visible eye widened, "why didn't you tell me?"

"He would've made a move already if he wanted to Kashi. He's watching me; to see how close I am to you guys. So the rest of the mission; I need you to keep them focused on you."

He nodded, "fine but you stay in front of me from now on."

I nodded, "I will; just remember your promise okay?"

"And you remember yours."

I gave him a small smile," I will. Now go back to your room."

He pulled down his mask and kissed my forehead; before he walked out of the bathroom and straight out of the bedroom.

Kakashi stayed true to his word. The rest of our mission he kept them all around him. I felt lonely but it was a small price to pay to keep them safe.

It seemed Orochimaru wasn't going to come out and bother us; which was a complete relief to me. I didn't know who he potentially had with him. I could take down any ghoul; but if he had Kaito with him; it would be difficult.

We were almost to Kohona; but then he suddenly appeared in front of us, "Hello (y/n), I should've known you were in the leaf village."

His voice made my skin crawl.

I could hear them start to run up to me but I held my hand up and they stopped.

"Wanting to protect them (y/n)?"

I hoped they wouldn't take my words to heart," My team should know better than to attack an enemy blindly. Especially when he's one of the legendary sannin."

Orochimaru chuckled, "Dont play with me Hitomi."

I winced at my nickname, "I know better than to play with you. I will fight for my team not because I want to; but because I have to."

He fully laughed this time," So you're a genin now?"

I shook my head, "No but I was still allowed to join."

"Do they know what you are?"

I spat back, "yes. I'm not coming back Orochimaru."

He smirked, "who said you have a choice?"

He motioned for someone to come out of the trees and I almost lost my breath when I saw who it was.
