About a month later, Addie began to notice that Crayon and Tori had grown much closer. She pulled Crayon aside one day and asked him about it.

Crayon looked a little sheepish. "Yeah, actually." He said. "We have gotten to know each other much better, and I think she likes me."

Addie grinned. "Do you like her?"

Crayon tucked his head into his shell and muttered. "Yeah..."

"What was that?" Addie teased.

Crayon poked his head out of his shell with an annoyed look. He knew she was messing with him. "Yes, I do like her."

Addie's grin grew wider. "Sooooo, are you going to ask her out?"

"Um, you realize that we're turtles, right? We don't typically ask each other out. We just sort of happen."

"But you guys are talking turtles." Addie countered.

Crayon looked at her funny. "Only you can understand us. You remember that, right?"

Addie was about to argue but stopped. "Oh yeah. I forgot."

Crayon laughed. "Wow. You've avoided human interaction for way too long."

"Hey, you shouldn't tease. You know my exact reasons."

"I know, I know. I'm just messing with you."

"Anyway, you should do something special for her." Addie gasped. "If you two are super in love, you should ask her to marry you!"

Crayon thought about it for a moment. "You know, that's actually not a bad idea."

Addie grinned. "Could I be the officiator?"

"Do you even have the authority to perform weddings?"

"I can perform turtle weddings because, well, you're turtles."

Crayon laughed. "Interesting logic, but I'll take it."

By the next day, everything had been planned out and all that was left was the ceremony and for Crayon to ask Tori if she wanted to marry him (which Addie and Crayon both knew she would almost certainly want to). Crayon had put on a mini bow tie that Addie had made especially for this day.

"Are you ready to ask her?" Addie asked.

Crayon nodded. "Yeah. I'm ready."

Addie carried Crayon over to the little turtle house Addie had made for Tori so she could have privacy. (Crayon had one too. It was a few feet away from Tori's). She gently set him down outside her door and stood back to give them some space. Crayon lightly tapped on the door and waited nervously. A few seconds passed before Tori opened the little turtle house door.

She smiled. "Oh. Hi, Crayon. I love your bow tie. Did Addie make it?"

Crayon grinned anxiously. "Yeah, she did." He paused. "Victoria, there's something I want to ask you..."

Tori cocked her head to the side slightly in curiosity. "What is it?"

"Well, I-I..." His legs started to shake. "That is, do you love me?"

Tori was stunned. She stared at Crayon in shock for a moment before smiling the biggest smile you have ever seen on a turtle. "Yes! I was wondering when you would figure it out!"

Crayon was aghast. He hadn't realized that she really did love him that much. "Really?"

"Of course. You're charming and handsome and really funny."
