"Who could have brought this?" I questioned Abner. He looked confused himself.
"Maybe a girl... or maybelle." Abner replied.
"I don't think so, no one knows we live out here. Maybelle especially." I say.
I took a closer look at the rocking chair. I pulled the ribbon off. When I took off the red ribbon, I saw black writing on the back.
"Hey Abner, look at this." I say, showing him the ribbon. "It's writing, but I don't know what's written."
Abner grabbed the ribbon from my hand then read it slowly in his head. Then he said "It says, a gift to someone in need. The initials W.D."
"I don't know anyone with the name W. Neither do I know their initials." I say.
I looked over the rocking chair. Seeing the cool fixtures through the chair. Many symbols of animals and plants. And in the middle towards where your back is to lay, has a heart with the initials W.D.
Both men were startled when they jumped when they saw the figure behind them. It was another woman.
"Howdy there!" She said. "I see that you got my rocking chair. Do you love it?"
"I like it, I don't love it yet since I haven't sat in it." I reply. "And who are you?"
"Oh sorry." She apologized, spitting into her hand lending it out for us to shake. "I'm W.D And you are Jon and Beckett Abner!"
Both of us stood there, wanting to question her on who she knew our names. But she spoke up realizing that our facial expressions.
"Oh I'm sorry to frighten you. I'm Willa Bee Dietera. And my sister is Maybelle Dietera. She told me so much about you guys. She told me she and Beckett Abner were promised and that another man who was good looking came in looking for his friend."
"Oh so that's where you got our names, I thought you were some crazy person who listened to people's conversation." I say a bit nervously.
"I actually am the type of person to listen to someone's conversation." W.D. Replied. "My sister didn't actually tell me, I listened. Maybelle was actually talking to our mother. My sister would never tell me stuff. She hates me."
"I can see why." I mumbled under my breath so she was unable to hear. "Anyway, thanks for the gift and every moment after."
"Your welcome... but I was wondering if you were gonna ask me something." Said W.D.
"Ask you what?" I ask.
"If we are promised?"
