January 5th, the day I was born. this will be the first time I ever celebrate my birthday in warm summer like weather. Usually back in Jordan it either rained or snowed on my birthday, but I still managed to have fun.
I woke up with enthusiasm, but Evan wasn't by my side on his comfy bed. I didn't feel like washing my face and combing my hair now ill do that later. I went to the kitchen in order to drink some water, and I find breakfast for two set on the table that looks delicious. As I'm staring at the food, Evan suddenly comes and hugs me from the back and slowly kisses my neck. He tells me happy birthday as I'm obviously a year older now. He makes me set down to eat the lobster omelet he made, and then he pours some wine in a spherical shaped fancy glass for both of us. 'the lobster is delicious and the wine Devine." I remember these words from a Langston Hughes poem I had to study during high school, but now I understand what he meant!

My boyfriend and I celebrate my birthday and we enjoyed every minute of that day. After a couple of days, Evan came back home from work early. he had a look of worry on his face. I asked him what's wrong and he refused to answer. he then quickly went to his room locked the door and I could hear his voice. I went closer to the door in order to eavesdrop on him and hear what he is saying.

"I will give you the money if you stop bothering me and Wardeh!" I hear Evan say that, and my heart falls down as I hear the rest. he is defiantly talking to someone on the phone, but who's black mailing him, who's behind all that trouble. I have a feeling that it is someone from my family. I'm pretty sure it's not my sister because she's the only one from my family that gets herself out of trouble because she has her own conflicts that she's trying to solve like her eating disorder. and off course it's not my dad may his soul rest in peace. he passed away a while ago from lung cancer because he was addicted to smoking hookah. I'm totally against smoking any type of harmful substance.
Evan gets out of the room, and I go to hug him. he holds me close to him after we hug and then I asked him again if there is something wrong.
"No baby don't worry."

"But I heard you talking on the phone. what money? who is it that's asking you about money?"

"It's nothing babe. I have a headache leave me to relax."

I left him to relax. I watch the time pass by as I wait for him to sleep because I want to check his phone to see who is behind all this trouble.
I slowly open Evan's new iPhone and tap on the logs. Oh my God! I can't believe she is doing this now! but why? I though its over. I feel Evan waking up so I quickly put the phone back to its position on the counter table.

As he wakes up, I'm still in shock of what I saw. I've been trying to contact her for a while but she has been ignoring me. I can't believe that she is taking advantage of my situation. I don't want Evan to feel that I know who the person behind the problems is.
"Come next to me babe, lets cuddle."

"Ok my love."

I slowly go under the covers of the bed and I cuddle with him. I'm deeply in love with Evan and nothing no matter what it was is going to change that.

A few days later, I discovered that half of the money in my bank account is taken! I didn't take it! it's stolen! now I'm pretty sure it's my family! and they are the ones that want the money from Evan. this has gone so far. I can't take it anymore. The person that called Evan for the money is actually my aunt that lives in the USA.
When I was younger, my aunt used to buy us lots of gifts from the USA and we liked that. by the time I became fifteen we discovered her story, we knew why she did actually buy us all these gifts. she used to work with the American FBI and after she retired she kind of went crazy. she used to buy us all these gifts then go tell her sister that my siblings and I are really needy and we want her to get broke, but that's not true. when my mom knew that from my other aunts, she banned us from talking to her. a year later, she came to Jordan to live for a while with her mom, my grandma. she literarily washed my dads brain. every day after school he made us go to my grandma’s house in order to see her. she acted nice in front of us but behind our backs she was a monster. she convinced my dad that she wants to adopt us because the USA is a better place for us to live, but my mom didn't allow her and she had a huge fight with her.

"Baby I'm thinking of taking revenge from my family."

"What revenge are you talking about babe?"

"Well, I haven't planned it yet but I will soon."

"Whatever you are talking about, it can be dangerous. I don't want to lose you."

"Don't worry you won't lose me. I will take revenge in order to benefit us and to let them leave me alone."

"I won't stop worrying about you until I know what you will do."

"I'm not afraid, anymore. I'm not afraid! And you shouldn't be afraid either. They've done a lot to me!
Forever is a long time, But I wouldn't mind spending it by your side.
Carefully we'll place our destiny
You came and you took this heart, and set it free.
Every word you say is so warm to me.
I was torn, and I'm still torn to be right where you are without trouble. I struggled a lot to get here.
If every day I get to wake up to that smile of yours, I wouldn't mind to do anything in order to stay with you.
I wouldn't mind anything at all as long as I'm with you."

When would my life settle and become peaceful like any other normal person!
