Four

"Come in"

Called a gruff voice from the other side. I sauntered into the office and took in it's perimeter. Red comfortable couches scattered around, a bookcase sat a corner, the floor was covered in red carpet a glass door leading to what probably is a balcony, a mahogany desk in the middle of the room with a man sitting behind it leaning back as he took me in. He should be in his late thirty with red hair and brown eyes, he was actually handsome, but then again no one is ugly in this office. I could spot the wedding ring on his finger. Those girls have no shame.

"Please take a sit" with a nod I did just that and got comfortable staring forward, I was no doubt nervous but I won't give that away. "You're quiet"

I shrugged "I speak when I think it's necessary to speak" we locked gaze. But I broke it feeling slightly uncomfortable.

"So your grades are Good, you dress decently, Why do you think you are capable for this job"

"I'll be honest with you. I don't really know what an assistant does but what I do know is I can work hard and figure it out. I'm a fast learner and I think I would be a great asset to this company if you give me a chance" I said looking at his face but not directly at his eyes.

He seemed please. He just nodded keeping his expression straight.

"That will be all, we'll call you to inform you what we decide on"

I stood as he did to and outstretched my hand, he shook it.

"Thank you Mr...."

"Richard Dawson, or just Richard"

I smiled "Thank you Richard Take care"
With that I got out with a smile plastered on my face.

"How was it?" front desk lady asked.

"It was nice, I think I might get it"

"That's great, you're a really nice girl I hope you do"

"Thank, but I'm sorry I didn't catch your name"

"Kyra"

"Nice to meet you Kyra" I gave her a hug "I don't want to keep you from doing your job"

"No it's alright you're the last person, it's my break anyway let's have something to eat before you leave"

"Ok that sounds nice"

"Let me inform Richard first" I nodded.

When she came out we head straight out of the building. I asked if Sophia wanted to tag along and she agreed. We went to this nice restaurant across the street and had a great time, we laughed and got to know each other. When thier break was almost over we got out and exchanged our numbers.

"I really hope you get the job your a fun person to be with" said Sophia.

"Yeah" Kyra replied

"Me too"

I got home and kicked the door of the empty apartment shut. It was 2:09pm and Hattie doesn't come home until 5:00pm. I stumbled into my room peeled my clothes got into pj's and took a nap.

I woke up to act of someone snatching my comforter away, I whined and saw Hattie holding it up.

"Get up lazy ass" I huffed and angrily got up. Checking my digital clock it was already 7 . " Come on it's your time to make dinner"

I whined again "Can't we just order"

She wasn't having any of it. So I stomped to the kitchen and got dinner ready. It was my homemade spicy lasghna. Michael came when I was serving it "just in time, you have no idea how much I've be craving this" i kissed his cheek and he blushed, Hattie cleared her throat and we Al went to the living room while watching our series  Modern family.
