Ten

A few weeks passed since the 'incident'. Hattie wasn't happy and was already rooting for me to quit. I reminded her the reason why I'm still working there but she disagreed. I told her to be patient and let it go, she successfully stopped talking about it but I could see it didn't sit well with her.

Ever since Sophia and basically almost half of the office knew, you can only imagine how suprised I was at how word travels fast here. So from then I got sympathetic and pity looks.

"Wow, your strong. If I was in your shoes I would have been bawling my eyes out at that very moment" Sophia explained when she heard about it from Kyra. We were all at our usual table with Sophia, Kyra, Sam, Natalie, Nate, Parker and I in the cafeteria. Sam and Natalie are in a relationship for a year and half now which originally started as office romance. Nate is planning to ask Kyra out but is so shy to even have a normal conversation with her. Sophia is already engaged to her boyfriend of 7 months now and Parker is gay.

"I know right, that must have been terrifying" Natalie cooed cozying up to Sam who just held her tightly.

I rolled my eyes at thier PDA "it's not like it was anything serious like world war 3"

Kyra looked baffled "Thea you almost got raped in the office" she said like she was talking to a five year old.

"You're right it is serious.... If you want to rape some like me at least do it on a king sized bed" I joked but every one had thier poker face on. "Look it wasn't okay alright, but I've moved passed it, can we just move on to the next subject" I sighed exasperatedly.

"We are right here if you need to talk" Natalie whispered and the rest of them nodded.

"Or you can start seeing a sh...."

I cut Parker off " I dear you to finish that sentence"

Right now I'm doing my work as usual, answering emails and phone calls, crossing over files at 8:00pm when the intercom blinked.

"My office"

That's right I and devil's relationship never changed. His guards were now back to guarding his door. but since it was late they weren't here anymore.

I didn't bother to knock. But when I went in I saw the suprising sight of Mr Knight laying on the couch sleeves rolled up to his elbow, his right hand across his face, eyes closed looking hot and peaceful.

"When your done staring I would like to discuss something important with you" he said without even moving.

I ignored his first statement " and what is that sir"

"We're leaving for London tomorrow..."

"What"

"I would appreciate it if you let me finish... We are going to London tomorrow at 9 am for two weeks to check how things are going there"

I waited for more information when he didn't say anything I talked.

"But sir are you sure you need me there" he still haven't move.

"You are my assistant and to follow me wherever I go. I need your help while I'm there"

I processed the information for a little bit longer. "Ok I'll go"

"You never had a choice Ms Clint" he finally opened his eyes to look at me "Even if you had disagreed I would still have forced you to come" a frowned took place on my face knowing that that's true. "Be ready at 9"

"Ok let me just give you my addr.."

"No need Ms Clint, I have my ways"
