When Hattie arrived the next day I filled her in on every single detail.

"What"

"Calm down"

"Why do you want me to Calm down. That asshole thinks he controls everything and why are you defending him"

"You're wrong. I'm not defending him, you and I both know what I would have I done but we also know what he's capable of" and I don't want to loose you.

"Why haven't you quit"

"I kinda of owe him. Remember I spilt coffee on his expensive suit, it costs 5000" it is actually part of the truth. What.

She panicked "But we don't have that kind of money"

I sighed "exactly" we sulked on the couch in silence.

"What are you gonna do"

I shrugged "suck it up I guess"

The three days leave was exactly what I need even if I slept through most of it. I shopped for some more official clothes and decided to try wearing dresses with matching Blazer. I dreaded the fact that I had to go to work tomorrow but we can't all get what we want.

I went to office on Thursday looking fresh and new with a knee length slightly fitted blue sleeveless dress with black jacket. My Rave hair was in many curls and my feet thought it would be right to try on blue flats. Make up wasn't a choice since I really a hate when something's on my face.

"Good morning Sarah" Sarah, the other receptionist was on sit.

"Morning" it was kind of early so I dropped in on Richard.

"Morning Richard" I greeted once I was in his office. He looked up from his computer and beamed when he saw that it's me.

"Hey Thea" he got up and gave me a bear hug, "How are you?"

"I'm good thanks, how's everything going without me"

"Good. We do miss you though" he waved me off "Enough of me, how's the big man treating you"

I lied "Great"

"Awesome" we discussed a few things, well mostly him talking about his two kids and how it's never boring. Richard and Christine his wife were high school sweet hearts who knew each other since thier diper days. Christine got pregnant at sixteen with thier first born Lucas. Who looks more like his mom. They got married at eighteen and still treat each other like how they were in highschool. Now they have two boys. Lucas and Tristan.

"I gotta tell you something" he had a really huge grin on his face. I waited for it "We're having another baby"

"Oh my God, that's such great news" I couldn't help but hug him again.

"Yeah we wanted to keep it a secret but I couldn't help myself"

"I'm so happy for you"

" I wanted to invite you to a small get together for our 20th anniversary where we'll also be announcing it"

"Great I'll text you the details"

We talked about how he selfishly hopes for it to be a girl until Tina Richard's Asian original PA told us he had a meeting, I didn't think Mr Knight would like to meet my desk empty when he arrives so I left to my station.

Why does this job have to be so boring. I thought while answering some emails.

I took my wireless earbuds out and put my playlist on shuffle. Together by Sia came on. I bobbed my head to the music while going to make myself a coffee I came back with my eyes closed and singing.
