Chapter 4: Fusako disappeared

   "OK, Fusako. I'm going in if you have a moment to talk." Marina reassured as she opened the door and noticed Mayu finishing to wash her hands as she saw her standing still. They briefly took a moment of silence before screaming in horror. The orange-haired girl was surprised that the china doll came to the school to look for friends. "You can talk!"

"Uh...say what?" Mayu was confused.

"You're talking...A living doll in the school, transformed into a human girl." Marina was horrified as she turned her back to her and talked to herself. "She's not Fusako all along," she said as she pulled out a air horn from her skirt pocket and pressed it to wake herself up. The loud noise stunned her faster as Mayu approached her to comfort her. "OK, right. Who the heck are you?"

"I'm Mayu." She introduced herself.

"Mayu. I'm Marina Fukuhara, I'm looking for my classmate Fusako, the braided girl."

"Oh...But, where is she?"

"She disappeared and went missing last night." Marina explained as she remembered last night. "Fusako left her house for a walk at night. She lives in the city of Toshima and have a divorced mother. She walked in the streets, greeted some people and however, she listened to a meow. Fusako wasn't sure where that noise came from. But she listened and went to Minami-Yabata Park where she found a cute cat whose owner died of a cancer disease and ended up wandering the streets. It was a Japanese Bobtail," she said as she sighed, solemnly.

"That's a shame." Mayu remarked.

"I know. Fusako said that somebody is looking for this poor cat. His name was Hoby. And all of a sudden, they disappeared, forever." Marina has put her hand in her hip.

"Gee, Marina. Do you have any friends?"

Then, Hisa, Tamayo and Azumi came out of the classroom and saw Marina talking to Mayu. "Marina! I thought you came back to the classroom!" said Hisa as she saw the china doll. "Fusako?"

"That's not Fusako, silly! Outta my way!" Kira shoved them as she shoved Marina as well.

"Hey! Kira, don't do that!" She scolded her.

"What brings you here, eh, Mayu-tan?"

"I came to see Marina, Kira-chan." Mayu replied awkwardly.

"It's Kira." Kira corrected her.

Hisa approached closer to them. "Marina, Kira, where's Fusako?"

"She's gone, Hisa," said Mayu.

"That's right," said Marina.

"Gone?!" Hisa, Kira, Azumi and Tamayo were shocked.

Later on, The girls, along with their new friend Mayu, are outside the school with the other students. They're arguing about Fusako's mysterious disappearance. "Fusako left her home last night and found a cat," stated Marina.

"A cat?" Azumi asked.

"Why Fusako didn't came to school in first place?" said Hisa.

"Because, she disappeared, girls." said Mayu.

"This is Mayu. Girls, Mayu. Mayu, girls."

"Hello." said Tamayo.

"Hi, I didn't see you there." Hisa brushed her hair nervously as she giggled.

"Nice to meet ya." Mayu chuckled. "So, what's the mystery, Marina?"

"It's really a mystery, Mayu. We'll investigate the disappearance of our classmate."

"You mean Fusako?"

"Of course! Our mystery...will begin!" Marina said triumphantly.

Then, the girls changed from their school uniforms to their casual clothes. Hisa has put her yellow sweater, white undershirt, red skirt, matching tights and black ballet flats, Marina and Tamayo has put their as well and Azumi is wearing her green hoodie and pink jeans. Kira watched the girls going out and changed to her orange jacket, blue skirt, also a white shirt with matching tights and boots, and finally an orange pearl necklace. The five girls started their adventure to find Fusako before her mother will find out. They went to the Ojiyubinkyoku street to look for her.

"We have 13 days to find Fusako, girls." Marina stated.

"What kind of place we'll find her?" Mayu asked.

Kira showed up, with her hands in her jacket pocket. "You guys need to stay cool and return to school."

"Oh my stars! How did you....?"

"Kira, Fusako's gone! We need to find her!"

"Marina, please! Fusako's not here in this moment!"

"She's missing!" said Hisa.

Kira groaned in disgust as she put her hands in her waist. "What? No! She went to another place!"

"She found a cat in Minami-Yabata Park," said Marina.

"Let's look for her in her house!" said Tamayo. "Because, she might be somewhere!"

Mayu and her friends proceeded their mystery to solve Fusako's disappearance. With Kira at their side, they left Ojiyubinkyoku street in order to look for her.
