Okay the comments are making me laugh so much-

TW: oblivious idiots, slight angst

"Alright! Well I think we hav your room set up now," Patton said with a bright smile.

Janus and Patton were just finishing up setting up his room, the door a bright yellow. Their was an accent wall that looked like snake scales, and a few other things that were snake themed. There was even a cage for Janus' snake, Nagini. She was a 4 foot long python.

"No thanks, Patton. That wouldn't have taken forever without you," Janus said with a slight smile.

"Of course!" Patton exclaimed. He was acting super bubbly and happy. After all, he was getting to spend time with his crush. Patton hated to admit it, but he had a crush on Janus ever since the court room video.

"When do you usually eat? I'm not getting hungry," Janus said.

"About now. Let's go get some food," Patton stated.

They walked through the hallway, right by all the other rooms, completely oblivious to the gray doors. They didn't notice that the light side seemed to be devoid of life. They were too busy talking to each other.

"Alright! What do you want to eat?" Patton asked when they got to the kitchen.

"Oh, I don't know. Whatever you think is best," Janus replied. He honestly just wanted to try Patton's cooking. He'd heard that it was really good.

"Alright! I'll make my famous Pattoncakes!" Patton exclaimed, giggling a little. At the sound of his giggle Janus' gave turned bright red.

Janus observed Patton as he cooked. He had such a child like joy while cooking, and Janus couldn't get enough of it. He had always thought Patton was cute, and this made him even more adorable.

Janus got lost in thought just watching Patton cook. Before he knew it, pancakes with chocolate chip smiles were placed in front of him. Patton sat down next to him with his own plate.

Janus took a hesitant bite, eyes blowing  wide with shock over how good the food was. It was way better than his own cooking. (Yes, Janus cooks the worst of the three who can cook. Virgil is the best though)

"This isn't the best food I've ever tasted!" Janus exclaimed, making Patton's face light up.

"Oh! I'm glad you like it!" Patton exclaimed with a giggle. "Hopefully the others will come down and eat their's at some point. I made enough for them."

"You mean you don't eat together?" Janus asked, confusion evident in his eyes.

"Usually at least Logan eats with me. Virgil comes down most of the time, but if he's asleep I don't want to wake him. Roman eats later if he goes into the imagination," Patton explained.

"Doesn't it bother you? The whole not eating together thing?" Janus questioned. He couldn't miss the pain that flashed through Patton's eyes.

"Well, I understand if they're busy. I'm not going to stop whatever they're doing. I'm fine. Eating alone doesn't bother me," Patton said.

"Don't worry about that anymore. I'll make sure that I eat with you every day, no matter if I'm busy or not," Janus promised.

"Are you sure? I wouldn't want to be a bother," Patton murmured.

"Of course. You aren't bothering me," Janus said truthfully.

"Thanks, Janus," Patton said with a small smile. Then a look of confusion passed over his face. "Wait a minute.... if Logan isn't eating that means he's working on a project or experiment. But usually I can hear sounds of him moving around. Did you hear anything while we were walking down here?"

"No. Maybe we should go check on them," Janus suggested. Patton nodded, and they both got up.

On the walk to the hallway where the rooms were, Patton couldn't help but notice how unusually quiet it was. There weren't any sounds besides their footsteps.

When they reached the doors, they saw that there were three gray doors, making the yellow door and the bright blue door pop out against the dullness.

"Why... why are the doors gray" Patton asked, eyes wide in shock. He was upset that they didn't notice on the walk down to the kitchen.

"Gray doors means the room is unclaimed," Janus said quietly.

"And that means?"

"They've either vacated their rooms and I have no idea where they went, or they found a way to change into dark sides."
