Tomato Sauce (For Pizza)

Ingredients:

1 28oz Can of Whole Tomatoes (You can use fresh tomatoes too. I'll show the way you can use it at the end.)

10-15 Basil Leaves

1/4 teaspoon Salt

Couple Grinds of Pepper

1 Clove of Garlic

Optional Ingredients:

1-2 Tablespoons Olive Oil

1 teaspoon Dried Oregano

1/2 teaspoon Chili Flakes

1/2 an Onion Chopped

Procedure:

1: In a large bowl, dump in the can of whole tomatoes. 

2: Tear up or chop the basil, and add that to the tomatoes. Mince, press, or grate the garlic, and add that. Season with salt and pepper. Toss in any of the optional ingredients if you would like

3: With your hands, crush up all the tomatoes. If you would like to have a smoother sauce, you can blend it all up.

4: Spread on pizza dough and you are done!


If you want to use fresh tomatoes:

1: Get out 3-6 tomatoes and wash them nicely.

2:  On the stove, put a pot of water of the stove and wait for it to boil.

3: Make a the bottom of your tomatoes and throw them into the pot of boiling water for no more than a minute.

4: Take the tomatoes out with a slotted spoon and put them into a bowl of cold water

5: Take the tomatoes immediately and peel the skin off with a knife or your fingers. It will come off every easily.

6: Follow the recipe as shown above as if using a canned tomato.
