"Okay, but what if they're like, bird people?" I asked Awsten, just as we began our short journey through the woods.

"Bird people!? But wouldn't they have wings and stuff?"

"I dunno, I've never met a bird person." We both stopped walking, just on the edge of town where the thicket of trees began. Our gazes went to the sky. The tree tops looked as if they could touch the clouds from where we stood.

"Woah..." Awsten whispered.

"Are ya ready?" I asked, gaze shifting to him.

"Ladies first," I lightly pushed him, walking forward, "What!? You're the one who wants to wander through a massive forest!"

"You're saying you don't!?" I asked, turning back towards him.

"Well, I mean I do. It was just your idea."

"Sure, so you're not scared?" I asked as we wandered around.

"Scared!? Of course not!" He seemed totally surprised by the accusation, "What exactly did your mom say was in these woods?"

"I dunno, she didn't really say anything about it. Just that there are strange things here." He hummed, then I had an idea.

"Tag!" My hand hit Awsten's arm.

"Fuck, seriously!?" I began keeping a fairly wide distance away from my friend.

"Yeah, seriously!"

"Dude, you're just gonna lose!" He jumped forward, I stepped back. The two of us began running around until finally, he had caught me.

"Haha, you're it!" I leaned forward, immediately tagging him again.

"Think again!" I ran further and further, Awsten right behind me. Until I hid behind a gigantic tree.

"Y/n! Y/n..." Catching my breath, I switched around my position. Almost instantly, I fell, screaming "Y/n!?"

"Awsten! Awsten! Help, please!" But he didn't hear me. I had fallen through a trap door that had closed shut. Awsten... I hope he finds me... I should stay put...

Looking around, it seemed as if I had fallen into a cave. It was almost pitch black dark. Quickly, I pulled out my phone to message him. No signal... of course! I'm in a forest... duh...

I switched on my phone flashlight, beginning to look around. Or should I stay put? No, maybe I could find a way out! Yeah...

Running a hand across the cave wall, I walked through. The walls... they're damp... strange... we did pass a creek earlier... it's so dark... where does this even lead?

As I walked around, small rocks littered the floor. The walls became less and less damp, and more clean. Maybe I'm almost to the end... whatever 'the end' is...

Finally, there seemed to be a surface blocking me from going any farther. But, it didn't feel rocky. It felt, almost like a door. This is so strange... who puts a door in a cave?

Feeling around the door, my fingers grazed over the knob. Slowly, I twisted the knob, but didn't dare open the door. It's unlocked... where do you lead?

Carefully, I pulled the door open. But was only met with a big red curtain. A curtain? Who puts a curtain in front of a door? I must keep going...

Pulling the curtain aside, I realized it had been nailed to the wall. This is so weird! Where am I!?

Looking around, I finally found the open slit between the wall and the curtain. Sticking my head out, I had found myself in a Victorian style home. The walls held colors of red and gold. A fireplace with sofas in front of it stood in front of me. This place is so fancy... what is this place!?

The sound of footsteps startled me. I gotta hide... gotta hide...

I slid back behind the curtain, staying as silent as I could.

"Hello?" A male voice asked, "Hello...?" I nervously bit my lip as the footsteps grew closer.

"Is anyone there?" He asked, then sighed, "I must be hallucinating again. That's what happens to lonely vampires, isn't that right Suzie?" A cat meowed. Vampire? But that's not possible...

"Hello?" He asked again. I've got to get out of here...

"Is someone there?" His footsteps grew louder, and louder. My fingers went to the doorknob behind me, but I wasn't quick enough. The curtain had been pulled, but the nails made it tough to pull it all the way. That didn't matter, he still saw me.

"Oh, hi," A boy about my age with dark hair and dark eyes greeted.

"Uh, hi?" I politely smiled.

"What are you doing in my house?" He asked, curious.

"Well, I uh-"

"Oh, you fell through the trap door!"

"How did you know that?" He held a hand out, helping me stand away from the curtain and door.

"I'm a vampire. One of my special powers is mind reading."

"V-Vampire?" He smirked.

"You're not from here. You're... human..." As he spoke, I noticed fangs.

"Of course I'm human." What kind of silly question is that?

"You really have no idea. Do you?" He stepped away, "Come, sit..." Hesitant, I did as told. Maybe I can finally get answers...

A hand went to the side of my face, thumb caressing the cheek. He just, stared at me. Bringing my face closer, I had become frozen. He smirked flaunting his fearsome fangs.

"I forgot to mention, I can also freeze you," He smirked, "I've been eating nothing but small animals for ages," He slid his tongue up my neck, "You're a pretty girl, it's too bad." Ahh... I need to get out of here... but how!?

Even when stuck frozen my hands shook. Oh please, Awsten, where are you? Please find me...

"Awsten, he's your best friend? Oh darling, he's not coming for you. No one is. Even if they do, they won't make it very far."

His fingers twisted around my hair strands. Finally, he smirked again, showing off his large fangs, he bit deep into my skin. My frozen body wouldn't even let me scream from the piercing pain. It felt like a dozen needles broke through the skin, draining all life from me. I might die...

Just then, there was a loud crash. But once again, I couldn't yell for help. Someone ran in, Pete pulled away. But I fell under before I could see who it was.

"Y/n..."
