Mikey's pov

I stood behind the counter of the gas station. There wasn't a single person in sight. Gerard sat in the back doing who knows what. My head rested in my hand as I set my elbow on the counter, and sighed out of boredom.

It's been a week since I last saw my girl... why's she acting so weird? Has she been avoiding me? Why would she do that? So many questions...

Gerard stepped out from behind the curtain. He held his GameBoy in hand.

"Hey, do you happen to have a GameBoy charger on you?"

"No..." I stated, quite plainly.

"You okay?"

"Eh, I mean, I've been better..." My eyes fell to the counter top.

"What's up?" He asked. I shook my head, "C'mon..."

"Fine, I think Y/n has been avoiding me..."

"Avoiding you?"

"Uhuh, I dunno what I did! But, she hasn't answered my messages, when I see her, she hides..." I pushed up on my glasses, "She just seems weird."

"Maybe she doesn't like you anymore." I looked to my older brother.

"But, why wouldn't she? We've had so much fun together. I really like her."

"Just cause you like her doesn't mean she likes you." He explained. I sent a look.

"Why're you saying these things?" He hummed, "She likes me..."

"I'm just trying to protect you Mikey. She obviously doesn't like you if she's avoiding you." That was a real sting at my heart.

"No... no no... what did I do? Did I say something? Oh, Y/n..." My thoughts whirled around, "I gotta talk to her..."

"Mikey, no! She's just gonna hurt ya. Stay here, it'll be alright. You can get yourself a new girl! There's plenty around here."

"Gerard, you don't understand. I really like this girl. She's nothing like the girls here. I can't just, drop her. Sorry, but I gotta go talk to her." I jumped over the counter and began out the door.

"Dude, you really shouldn't do this! You'll just make it worse!" Gerard cried after me, but I only ignored him. The Inn... she must be there...

I walked down the sidewalk until I got to the Inn. Patrick sat at the front desk, he looked bored as ever.

"Mikey! Hi!" He greeted.

"Hey Trick, is Y/n around?"

"Nah, she went out, but Awsten's upstairs." Maybe he could give me some answers...

"Alright, do you know when she'll be back?" He shrugged.

"Dunno..."

"Okay, thanks, I'll go talk to Awsten then." I walked up the steps and towards the hotel room. Quietly, I knocked on the door. Awsten opened it up.

"Hey, Y/n's not here..." He said.

"Uh, could I maybe talk to you?" I asked. He seemed a little surprised, but opened the door enough for me to step in.

"Sure..." I stepped inside the small hotel room. Looking around the room, I saw the teddy bear I had won her on the floor. Aww...

"Why are you here?" Awsten asked, sitting on the bed. I sat next to him.

"Has Y/n been avoiding me?" I asked. Awsten sighed.

"Yeah..."

"But why? Did I do something?"
