Max was late, as usual. She ran to the baseball stadium, showed her bill to the security guard, got searched, and was finally allowed to enter. She looked on her bill to know where she was before looking for her seat. She took the stairs, searched for the right letter, and finally found her friends at their seats. The four boys and the redhead waved to her with a smile, relieved to finally see her. The redhead joined them, panting.

- "Hey," Max said.

- "Hey, what take you so long?" Will asked.

- "An annoying customer who thought he could have a date with me!"

- "Ouh, boring!" Mike chuckled.

- "You didn't miss anything, don't worry, they didn't present the teams yet," Lucas told.

- "Which team is ours?" Max asked.

- "Just look at Dustin, it's written everywhere on his body!" Beverly stated.

Max leaned to see better her friend. Dustin was wearing the baseball outfit of the team with the shape of a green roaring tiger which was on his cap too.

- "What? This team is awesome! I love them! And their captain is awesome! I'm a big fan!" Dustin told.

- "We see," Will chuckled.

- "You're sure you don't have a crush on the leader?" Bev smirked.

- "No! ...Maybe. But you'll soon understand why!"

And the boy wasn't lying. Right after his sentence, a loud music sounded, and the presenter began to present the two teams. The guest team entered under the boos of the crowd. Max rolled her eyes. She always thought it was a bit too much. It was just a game, they didn't need to be rude to the guest team! They deserved to be here!

Anyway, the host team entered, and the crowd became wild. On the wide screen in front of them, each person of the team was presented with a picture of them next to it and their exploits of the last season. When the captain was on the screen, Dustin became crazy, same for the crowd. Apparently, Dustin wasn't the only big fan of the captain! Max looked at the screen to know a bit more about this girl. Jane Brown, cute smile, twenty years old, six homeruns the last season, she seemed to be a good player.

The game began, and the two teams were determined to win. On the baseball diamond, you could cut the atmosphere with a knife; several times a fight almost began. This Brown was in a fury, loosing wasn't an option for her; it was just the first half of the game, and she already made two homeruns; she was an amazing pitcher, the batters struggled to hit the balls.

- "I told you she was amazing!" Dustin told of excitement.

- "I have to admit that she is quite good!" Max answered, clapping with everyone.

- "Quite good!? She is the best player I've never seen!"

- "You're too in love to be objective!" Bev mocked.

- "I'm not in love!"

- "Yeah right!" Mike added.

- "You're just a bunch of idiots, just watch the game!" Dustin grumbled.

- "Yeah, admire the number eleven!" Lucas continued.

Dustin sighed of annoyance while his friends were chuckling. At the end of the nine games, the local team won, making crazy the crowd. Max applauded with her friends, amused to see Dustin shouting. After the game, the boys wanted to have autographs of the players, letting the two redheads alone.

- "You work tonight?" Beverly asked.

- "Yeah," Max sighed. "It's gonna be long! I wish the customers won't be a drag this time."
