The next day, Max joined her friends in the park. They got into the habits of spending one lunch together, and Mike decided that a picnic in the park was a good idea. It wasn't a stupid idea; they could enjoy the sun together at least. But Max was excited to tell Dustin what happened the day before at the bar. She arrived the last one, as usual, which made grumble her friends, but she didn't care, she was used to it.

- "Guys, you'll never believe who were in my bar yesterday!" Max told with a wide smile.

- "Someone famous?" Lucas asked.

- "Um, kinda, well, I didn't know them before yesterday so...Not that famous."

- "Is it someone of your family?"

- "No! It was the baseball team we saw play!"

- "The Green Tigers!?" Dustin exclaimed with wide opened eyes.

- "Yep!"

The young boy wide opened his mouth, made weird sounds, and tried to move, but he was too shocked to be coherent. The three other boys were as shocked as him, but they were looking normal next to him. Max and Beverly frowned at each other before chuckling.

- "She was there!? Brown! She was there!?" Dustin managed to ask.

- "Um, yeah! I even talked to her!" Max answered, amused.

- "Really!? What did you say!?"

- "Um...What can I serve you?"

- "What!? You had one of the best baseball players in front of you and all you told her was "what can I serve you"!? Really!?"

- "I didn't recognize her at first! She was a customer like any other! But then I recognized her, don't worry. We even talked about you."

- "Really!? She knows who I am?" Dustin asked, a bit blushing.

- "Um, yeah, you asked her to sign your chest, I guess it's hard to forget," Max mocked.

Dustin became red of embarrassment while the others were laughing at him. He didn't care, at least she was remembering him. After all these emotions, the group began to eat, talking about memories they had in common about school or parties. Max wasn't really missing high school; the only good memories she had were with her friends, and now she still had them so why missing an awful place like this? But they seemed nostalgic, and they had lots of fun together, but Max wasn't forgetting all the bad moments they lived because of the bullies, or her, because of her family. At least, now, she had her own place with her real family around. The conversation was cut by Dustin trying to breath and pointing a bit farther. The group frowned before looking where he was showing.

- "It's just two girls!" Bev stated.

- "Hey, but it's Jane Brown!" Max told. "She was wearing the same jacket yesterday."

- "I could ask them another autograph!" Dustin said.

- "Don't bother them, they are just walking their dog," Will told.

- "They are normal people, you know," Lucas added.

- "They are goddesses of baseball!"

- "Just that?" Mike mocked.

- "I'm tired of you, I'll ask them if I can have a picture."

The boy stood and walked to the two girls while his friends rolled their eyes before following him to be sure he wouldn't go too far with them. The group stayed behind while Dustin was losing control of himself in front of the two girls who seemed amused and scared at the same time. The two girls did everything that Dustin wanted, they took pictures, signed pictures of them, and even signed his body without complaining. While they were busy with the young boy, the dog decided to meet the group of friends behind. Bev crouched and began to pet it.
