Jane and Max kept seeing each other the next days. Max even invited Jane to see a show of Monster Trucks, like Jane always wanted. The brunette was like a child during the show, her eyes wide opened every time a truck was doing something. Max barely remembered what happened with the trucks, she was too lost in Jane's eyes to look away.

The redhead didn't know what kind of relationship it was, if it was serious or just like that, but she was enjoying her moments with the brunette. Jane had left for two weeks to play matches all around the country and finally came back, which made Max realize that she was more attached to her than she wanted to admit. She didn't know if Jane would want to begin something serious with her, maybe she was getting ahead of herself again and feeling something that Jane wasn't. She tried to not think too much about it.

Today, she was eating with Jane and Beverly and was very curious to know what her best friend was thinking of her. Jane was already at Max's as she spent the night with her. The two girls got ready and joined Beverly at the restaurant. They chose a table on the sidewalk seating area.

- "You still haven't told Dustin?" Beverly asked with a smile.

- "For? Jane?" Max frowned.

- "Of course, Jane, what else?"

- "No, I haven't, you're the only one who knows."

- "And you, Jane, did you tell someone?"

- "Um, Mallory knows," Jane answered.

- "No one else?"

- "No."

- "You are both like in a secret relationship."

The two girls looked at each other without really reacting. Max would have liked telling her friends about Jane, but she would prefer telling them it's an official relationship, not for just some good moments.

- "It's too early, I guess," Max shrugged.

The redhead looked at Jane, expecting her to say something, but she just grabbed her glass of water to drink it.

- "You disagree?" Bev asked.

- "No. Why?" Jane answered with nonchalance.

- "I don't know, I was expecting a reaction from you."

- "Why? If she thinks it's too early, she does what she wants."

- "You think it's too early? As you told only Mallory."

- "No, it's different for me, even after two years I would have told only Mallory. I don't want the others to know."

- "Why?"

- "It's not their business."

- "It's a bit rude. I always thought that a team was like a second family," Bev stated.

- "You always tell everything to your family?" Jane frowned.

- "Yeah, fair point."

Max was hiding her smile behind her hand, amused by the conversation. She knew Beverly wouldn't give a break to Jane with all her questions, and Jane seemed very patient, which was a bit surprising. She could be very impulsive on the field. The redhead decided to let them and to go to the toilet. When she stood, she met Jane's eyes which were begging her to stay, which made laugh Max. She kissed her cheek and walked away, letting Jane and Beverly alone.

- "So, Jane. How is it with Max?"

- "It's great."

- "Yeah? Is it serious for you?"
