The Past Unfolds

Ellie's POV

Urgent. 

Parang lahat ng tao ay may "urgent" na gagawin ngayon. Tulad ni Chelle, when I called her this morning to ask her if she can come to the mall, she said she had something urgent to do. Eh, sabi nya kagabi na free sya the whole day today, sya pa nga yung nagyaya sakin na magmall eh, pero tumanggi ako. Nagtampo pa nga yun eh, wala na raw akong time na sumama sa barkada. Pero, nung yayain ko naman sya na magmall, hindi naman sumama. Ewan ko dun.

At ngayon, si Sofia. May gagawin daw syang assignment with her friends, at urgent daw. Eh, kung urgent talaga yun edi sana di na sya nagyaya na magmall. So she had time to finish her project. Ewan ko ba dun. May pagkatopak rin minsan kagaya ng Kuya nya. Hahaha.

So here I am, pouting. I looked around for a glimpse of Nico pero wala sya. Di kaya iniwan na ko nun? Wag naman sana. Matawagan nga. I was fiddling for my phone in my purse, when...

My sight darkened. Wala akong makita. Someone's hands were on top of my eyes. Lalake for sure, ang laki ng kamay eh. Pano kung kidnapper ito?, but I don't think he'll be stupid enough to kidnap me in front of such a public place. My heart was beating really fast.

I pried the guy's fingers off my face, then slowly faced him.

Si Nico.

"Nico!? Ikaw pala gago ka! Do you want me to die!? Halos maatake na ako sa kaba! Nakakairita ka!" I yelled, hitting him on his chest, then stomping off. 

People were looking at us. But I just ignored them.

"Uy Ellie! Sorry na. I didn't mean to scare you. It was supposed to be a surprise." he said behind my back. 

I wasn't really angry at him. Just irritated, maybe. And plus, gusto ko tong sinusuyu nya ako. Nakakakilig lang. Hihihihi.

"Che! Dyan ka nga. Magtataxi na lang ako pauwi." I said then walked out the store. 

I felt him trailing behind me. He was calling my name. Then after a few while, I couldn't hear any footsteps following me anymore. San na kaya yun?

I turned around only to see.....

A beautiful bouquet of red roses in front of my eyes.

The bouquet of roses carefully went down revealing Nico's handsome face. He also had that killer smile on that left my knees feeling like jelly. 

I could feel my face blushing. 

"For you. Sorry na oh, wag ka nang magalit please?" he said, giving me his puppy eyes look. 

"Oh sige na nga," I said, getting the rose from him and sniffing it. It smelled so delightful. "Salamat pala dito ah, pero you didn't have to." I added,

"But I wanted to. Because you deserve it." he said, I could feel the sincerity in his voice.

I just smiled at him.

"Tara na. What do you want to do? Gusto mong manood ng movie?" he asked, wrapping his arms around my shoulders.

"Oh sige." 

 "That was a great movie!"  I said, as we got out of the movie theater.

We just finished watching "24/7 In Love" (A/N: Promote ko lang yung movie ni Kimmy. Out na sya in theaters nationwide! XD) Maganda yung movie. Nakakakilig. Pero mas kinilig ako sa amin ni Nico, parang real-life couple lang ang peg namin. We were sharing the same popcorn and drink, sinusubuan nya pa nga ako ng popcorn eh. At tsaka, he wrapped his arms around me, leaving me to lean on his broad chest. Ang tigas. Hihihi. I could hear his heartbeat nga eh. Wahhhhhhhh! Kinikilig talaga ako!
