As we reached the airport, I gave my phone to Soo-ah knowing Felix took her phone the day she came. I saw her face lit up when she was calling her mom. I went a little farther away from her to give her space to talk. I heard her convincing her mom to let her go to another country.

A few minutes later...

"Okay, she knows I'm going to a different country," Soo-ah told me as she gave me my phone back. "She's letting you?" I asked, knowing her mom wouldn't let her go so easily. "She said yes because I said It would be dangerous for me to stay here. She became overly protective over me and said yes," she said, looking up at me.

3 years later...

Evie came home looking disturbed... again. Her family knew she was introverted, kind of... only kept things to herself. Evie's mom quickly gets up, after looking at Evie's disturbed face. She pulls Evie in another room and says in a rough tone, "Tell me!".

Evie looks up confused, "Tell you what!" she says, sounding rude and annoyed, as much as she tried not to. "What's up with your mood. Stop being annoyed all the time and tell me. What's wrong?". Evie wasn't planning on telling but just opened up.

"Hye-jin! It's Hye-jin mom! She's dead!". Evie's mom doesn't say a word, being confused and... shocked. Evie falls on her bed and continues, "She was already too stressed about exams... She came to school one day with her arms red...really red.

It was her abusive parents again who did that to her. She wrote a note and left it inside my bag. Saying that she couldn't take it anymore, her life was ruined and that she's happy I helped her and that I was there for her. Although, I couldn't help her enough mom! This is all my fault! She said she will miss me and said to never forget her and her last words were, "I love you". She suicided".

Hye-jin's point of views

Making Evie think I was dead was the only thing I could do. I don't want to see her... or anyone ever again. I'll run away or something.

Writers point of view

That day... Hye-jin's dad was drunk and her mom overdosed on drugs. They got abusive and abused her at the point where she started bleeding. Then kicked her out of the house. Throwing all her things out showing her how much they wanted her dead. Then closed the door on her face. She stayed a few minutes on the floor, not being able to get up.

After some time, she gets up and sits on a bus stop bench that was near her house. She has nowhere to go. Thinking she will sit there and rot forever... a guy sits next to her, waiting for the next bus. The bus doesn't show up for the next 15 minutes. He then says "Hi, I'm Ji-Tae", giving a smile. "Please don't talk to me," says Hye-jin, trying not to sound rude but she doesn't care about anything at this point.
