its been 3 days since you landed on this lush planet, 3 days since the explosion, Cliff is depressed and you and Chloe are just getting by
You wake to another hot morning, the area is starting to run out of food and you're all getting hungry, its time to finally move out and find a new place to live. You nudge Cliff to wake him up, he gets up and dressed, Chloe is packing what little supplies remain. "You guys ready to go?" Chloe asks, you look up at her "yeah, we need to get going soon, traveling at night is a pain in the ass" cliff slowly lifts his head and nods "alrighty then, time to head out".
You and cliff stand up and walk out into the forest. "I sure hope sergeant morgan is ok" Chloe says, you all begin a long walk through the thick trees. "To be honest i don't think so Chloe, im sorry, its just the storms have been wild and she's all alone" Chloe looks down and wipes her eyes "well, just gotta get over it...". After about 2 hours of walking you come across a large carved out log besides a murky green river "is this, a canoe?" Chloe asks, you walk up to and give it a closer look "i guess so, whoever made this probably made the traps we keep seeing, they really know how to survive out here". Chloe stares at it "i guess you're right, should we take it?" You look down the long winding river "it will make covering ground a bit easier... guess we should , can you give me a hand cliff?" Cliff slowly walks over, picks up and drags the canoe across the bushy ground and places it in the water "looks like it can fit at least four, guess we should give it a shot." Cliff then climbs into the canoe, you get in next sitting behind him and Chloe sits back behind you "well guys how do we move this thing?" Without saying a word cliff picks up a large branch off the ground and uses it as a makeshift oar "oh, well that works" Chloe says as cliff pushes the canoe out into the water.
You all ride smoothly down the river for about an hour before the rain starts "ah shit" Chloe says "cliff, theres a huge rock over there see it, can you get us there?" Cliff nods and turns the log towards land, as you get out you all head for cover under the trees, as the night comes you struggle to start a fire, Chloe and cliff are already asleep. Soon after, your body gives out and you force yourself to sleep too.
the morning comes with the smell of wet grass and trees, you all get up and continue traveling, cliff seems to be a bit more cheerful and even tries talking to you "you guys think this whole planet is forest?" Chloe sighs "i think so, if not, we are the unluckiest fuckers alive" after walking through some thick bushes you walk into a tiny patch of nothing but grass "well this is lovely" Chloe says with a smile "finally something other then terrible forest" after a second of silence a loud whistling noise is heard "what the hell is that" Chloe asks? you respond "No idea, probably isn't good though" without saying a word cliff's ears perk up and he begins running quickly through the trees....
