"I have called you here today for a mission of the upmost importance." Zavala stated solemnly. "We have intel that suggests a Hive Fortress has been constructed near what was once known as "Australia" during the Golden Age. We need you three to infiltrate it and destroy it. Kel will be the fireteam leader. Any questions?"
"Yeah, why can't I just do this with Wade and Shane?" Garter asked. "No offense, guys." He added to the warlock and hunter sitting next to him.
Zavala sighed. The titan Vanguard knew that these three were the best for the job. Kel-4 was cocky, yes, but was one of the best hunters available. Jelaphantamean was a newer warlock, but Zane, the warlock Vanguard, was sure he had great potential. And Garter was one of the best titans Zavala had seen in his days as the titan Vanguard.
Zavala was shaken out of his musings by a chuckle from the other side of the room.
"You really think these three are the best for this mission, Commander?" the hunter Vanguard, Agor, asked.
Zavala exchanged a look with Zane, who shrugged, then turned to look at Agor.
"Yes, Agor, I think they are up for the mission. Right, guys?"
Garter and Kel both nodded yes, but Jel didn't respond, and was looking down vacantly at his feet.
"Jel, is there a problem?" Zavala asked. Jel quickly looked up from his feet and shook his head. "No, sir." "Good." said Zavala. "Garter, your ship is prepared in hangar 4. Further details for the mission are on this drive. Dismissed."
