"Jel!" Garter shouted as he saw him disappear in the Hive's trap. "Garter! We're about to have company!" Kel said. They turned and sprinted back behind a column as Hive soldiers poured into the room.
Garter peeked his head out and almost got it blasted off by a Hive soldier. He peeked the barrel of his rifle out and opened fire on the enemy. He hit five or six of them, but more just kept on coming.
He ducked back behind the wall and reloaded as Kel peeked his gun out from behind the pillar and shot more Hive.
"Garter, call Jel!" Kel said as he continued shooting the Hive.
Garter's Ghost, Ozi, uncloaked and contacted Jel's Ghost. There was no response. "They aren't responding!" Ozi said.
"Hey, Garter, watch this!"
Garter turned and saw Kel running at the Hive as fast as he could, weaving and diving in between them, then turning around and firing a few shots.
"Hah, you can't get me!" Kel taunted the Hive.
"That stupid Hunter is going to get himself killed." Ozi stated.
"Kel, get back here!" Garter said as he continued to defend there position.
"Okay! Be right there!" Kel said as he slid under a Hive soldiers legs and dropped a grenade.
As soon as Kel got out of the way, the grenade exploded, sending Hive soldiers flying through the air.
Garter and Kel turned and ran down a corridor. Kel turned around while running and shot the doorway multiple times. The corridor entrance collapsed, trapping the Hive on the other side.
