The Bronze Knuckle zoomed through the calm sky, as on the inside Kel looked at Jel and said "So what exactly happened down in that pit?"
"Well, I found this floating rock, but then it opened up and there was a purple orb inside. It tried to kill me, but I found an old sniper rifle, and then it didn't stand a chance. I haven't seen one of those things before though."
"A shrieker?"
"Huh."
Jel turned to look at Garter. "What exactly happened to you guys?"
"Well, right after you fell into the trap, a bunch more Hive came in. But we took care of them." Garter said.
Jel nodded in acknowledgment.
"So... would you guys want to do this again?" Jel said. "You mean go on more missions together?" Kel said. "I think we make a pretty good team." Garter said.
"Well, I'm in. But we'll need a name. Something catchy." Kel said.
"What about fireteam 46?" Jel suggested. "You know, because there's usually six members of a fireteam? And forty because... why not?"
Kel and Garter looked at each other and nodded.
"Agreed." Kel said with a smile. "But I'm still team leader right?"
"I guess." Jel said.
They continued to talk and joke as they flew all the way back to The City.
