Jel entered a room and looked up. He saw a hole in the ceiling and smiled. Finally he was going to get out of here.
He slung his gun over his back and placed his hands on the wall and began to climb. He kept climbing, putting one hand over the other until he was about half way up.
A shot landed on the wall hairs away from his neck, and he turned around to see five Hive soldiers with rifles pointed right at him.
He knew he only seconds to think of what to do, but lucky for him, he already knew what he was going to do.
He sprang off the wall and launched himself towards the edge of the cliff the Hive were standing on.
The Hive watched him fall, and saw his hand miss the edge. They broke out in deep, coarse laughter and stepped closer to see the guardian that, no doubt, was laying dead on the ground.
That was a mistake.
Jel swung the barrel of his rifle around the first soldiers leg and pulled the trooper off the cliff. He quickly pulled himself up and threw a grenade at the feet of the Hive. It exploded and sent the Hive flying over the edge of the cliff.
Jel jumped and rode the explosion up towards the opening of the pit. He barely grabbed on and pulled himself up.
He looked around and saw a metal wall. He walked over to it and pushed it. It began to open up, and he reached out and grabbed something, and began to use it to pull himself up.
He was surprised when it pulled back.
