*Bethany*
"Mom?!"

I felt as if the air had been sucked out of my chest. I reminded myself to breathe. It had been many years since she had seen her, and she had aged, but she still looked exactly the way she had used to. Her honey blonde hair now had grey streaks amongst, she sport a pixie and her fair skin was showing signs of aging. She stilled smelled like cinnamon and fireplace- a strange but intoxicating scent. She frowned at me.

"Wha- what?" I choked.
"I hate to add to the confusion, but Bethany- you said your Mom was murdered." Spencer said now very confused.
"She was- I mean, well obviously not." I struggled for words.
My mom laughed.
"It's a bit of a long story isn't it? Catch up for later." She half sang.
"What are you doing? Is this some sort of a sick joke? You show up ten years later? What the hell is going on?"

"I just need you out of my way. And your breathing computer. Ta-ta forever, loves." She cocked her hand that was once facing me toward him. Sometimes the heart acts before the brain.

So I threw myself as the bullet went flying.
