Sakura returned home after the encouragement with Hinata's father. It greatly troubled her that a man would treat his own child so harshly. Even ban her from ever coming out. She really needed to start seeing to the kingdoms affairs.
Hours later Sakura still couldn't find sleep she tossed and turned in her bed willing for sleep to take her into it's comforting embrace, but no such thing happened. She remained as awake as day. So she decided to go out and tire herself so that she could fall asleep easier.
She slowly sneaked out of the palace without anyone knowing. She slipped out and began swimming in the comforting waters. Closing her eyes and melting into the feeling of the waves brushing against her skin.
The sea was beautiful at night, all the sea creatures that glowed could clearly be seen giving off little lights. Sakura even noticed some of the scales on her tail giving off a dull glow. That was when a thought passed her mind. If inside the sea was so beautiful at night, how would the surface look like.
Curiosity drove Sakura to go to the surface that night and she wasn't disappointed the sight was something that deserved to be seen. She made a mental note to tell Ino about it. But she didn't realize the ship that wasn't too far from where she was and the trouble that lingered nearby.

Sasuke blinked several times to make sure he wasn't hallucinating. Then the head moved. He saw the most captivating eyes he'd ever seen in his entire life, a bright emerald colour like a precious gem. They were beautiful. This was probably the princess. Suddenly she moved, she rose out of the water revealing her upper half. Her long pink hair covered her bare front and cascaded down into the water beneath her. She was beautiful.
Sasuke wasted no time in waking up the others, he had found his prey.

"Teme, what is it? Can't a guy sleep anymore?" Naruto complained after being forcefully woken by Sasuke.
" Do not waste time!!! Get the nets." Sasuke was getting agitated every second. The princess was right here, he couldn't let this opportunity pass by him.
"The nets are here, what are we supposed to do?" Suigetsu asked.
"Over here." Sasuke pointed to Sakura's direction. "We need to capture it."
Suigetsu widened his eyes in shock. That was a mermaid no doubt, what would Sasuke want with a mermaid. He knew from the beginning that something was going on but regardless he needed to do as Sasuke said if he wanted to get any information.
"Jugo, Naruto this way. Handle the nets we've got ourselves a big fish." Suigetsu, Jugo and Naruto held the huge net and tossed it.

Sakura kept enjoying the feeling of the water and the beautiful view. She didn't notice anything wrong until something fell right on her. She jumped in shock. Some kind of material was all around her she tried swimming out of it but she got tangled up in it. What was this? She tried clawing at it with her nails but to no avail. Then the net started moving she was being pulled. Fear gripped Sakura. Could this be the humans at work? She remembered the stories she heard about humans, dreadful creatures that sailed the seas on monstrous contraptions.Just as she finally looked up she saw the ship. Her thoughts were just confirmed, this was the work of the humans.
The net pulled her out of the water and she was hauled into the ship. In front of her was her captor, standing tall.
Emerald eyes met Onyx.
